NFL Mobile now requiring subscription?

I know this isn't really new but I have another question. Every video I try to watch on NFL Mobile immediately asks we to sign up for a V Cast subscription. I believe this went into effect September 1st? Eventhough I personally think it's complete crap because I know I'm not the only person Verizon sold these phones on with this feature.

But that's not even my main issue. My friend has an original Droid and I have an X. He still can watch all the videos without any problems. Am I missing something?

I have an original Droid and it tells me to sign up for V-cast too...Guess they aren't getting enough coin from me as it is.

What a joke. I wonder why it isn't affecting some people though? So weird.

I just checked the reviews for the app on the android market and almost every one is 1 star. The comments are not very flattering to say the least. I made sure to add one myself.

What phone do you have? Just curious because it seems that a very few isolated people can still watch videos. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

And just to clarify, EVERY video I try to watch now prompts me to subscribe. Not just highlihts. Not just streaming NFL Network. EVERYTHING.

My understanding of this is that Monday night games will be made available to watch on the application only. I could be way off base but I believe all other games will only be available through the DTV app to Sunday Ticket subscribers. I just checked my app and as of right now I havent been prompted subscribe to VCAST.

I actaully talked to a verizon rep a couple of weeks ago about this app and vcast. He told me vcast was included in the unlimted plan. If that's not true, somebody is gonna get an earful.

That's definitely not true. Just google "NFL Mobile charging" or "NFL Mobile V cast" and see all the articles you get. Hell, just pull up the reviews on the marketplace. Most of the complaints re about how people pay $30/month for unlimited data and Verizon expects us to shell out another $10/month for V Cast. Bull****.

Just like you need V Cast to use Verizon's crappy GPS service. Why would you do that when the Google one on your phone is better and FREE?

Where are these vids that you speak of? Every video I click on asks me to subscribe to V Cast.

And why does the app still work for some? My buddy still has access to all of the videos and was just watching the live stream of NFL Network.
