[ROM] [NIGHTLY] UNOFFICIAL CM9/ICS For Droid 4 For MotoICS Leak

Update: I flashed back on 7/8 (using the 7/7 nightly) and everything is working wonderfully! The Wifi issues i was having appear to be gone, and from what im reading, it sounds like if they return, flashing the latest nightly may resolve it. Hopefully i dont run into that, but if i do, it sounds like theres some success there.

Thanks!

I would wipe before I flashed the ROM, so it has a clean fresh install to work with. I have an app called Quick Profiles that I use for volume control. I have settings for Normal, Work, and Vibrate. It also lets you make one-touch widgets to set the profile. When I get to work, I just hit the "Work" button on my home screen (or whatever screen you want). When I'm off, I hit Normal.

I can't really comment on VZW Visual VM, as I've never used it.

It appears that wiping has solved the issue of losing all of my app settings after a reboot. I'm now experiencing a new issue. After reboot I will have 4G service for about 30 seconds and then I lose all service until I enable then disable airplane mode. I've also noticed on several separate occasions throughout the day that I lose all service until I enable/disable airplane mode. During one instance I decided to wait and see if it would come back on its own. After 2 hours without service I needed to use my phone and service came back once I enabled/disabled. I have my mobile network set to LTE/CMDA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA.

Smart Actions is part of Motoblur...that won't carry over to CM9.

As for Visual Voicemail, isn't that on Play Store? I know some of the other Verizon apps are...

I should have considered that was part of MotoBlur. Now that makes sense. I'll just need to go back to being diligent in change the volume settings for my appropriate setting. As for Visual Voice, yes it's in the Play store. However it appears the version that's in the Play is older than what's in the leaked ICS. That's apparently the issue. Guess I'll sit tight for a little bit on that.

I wonder how much work it would be to make a one touch widget that just disabled airplane mode and switched to GSM and back to LTE/CMDA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA.

Or something that disables airplane mode at all. These days, airplanes won't accept "airplane mode".

There are literally hundreds of widgits there that do exactly that in the google play store

I can't find one that switches from GSM to LTE/CMDA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA. The only ones I've found toggle mobile networks on and off, which doesn't help if it's set to GSM.

There hasn't been an update in a few days, does that mean something big is coming, or simply that builds didn't build?

I'm on the latest (7/9) but I think new ones will be out soon, like tonight or tomorrow night. It can't hurt to flash 7/9 as you can flash the latest right over the older ones without wiping and you keep all your data and settings.

I'd still do a backup though, just in case. I've never had to use my backup.

How are you able to download 7/9?

If you are trying from you phone.... you should load the page as a desktop site. It will prevent that bar on the bottom from covering up the latest build
