using matt's utility v.1.7 option one after putting the update.zip on the EXTERNAL SD CARD (Droid Razr Utility 1.7 [For Ics And Those Who Want To Go To Ics] - DroidRzr.com)
then clearing the cache 2x and data 1x.
it still errors out o.0 status 7

I got it to work this time. The only things I did differently were: Downloaded and copied the file over again, followed instructions to clear the cache, rebooted, cleared the cache again, then picked back up with the instructions.

When it first came up it was at 3G. I had to enable CDMA/LTE. Mine seems to be peachy now.

Here's what I did to get it to work
Using Matt's Utility 1.7
Option 1
Option 2
Wipe cache
Wipe data
reboot
Wipe Cache
update
so far so good

Brick

Followed instruction to the "T" and it bricked my phone. 100% stock! Could someone point me into the direction of how I can un brick. With links please.

Define "brick". When mine didn't work the first time It was stuck on at the boot screen. I Was able to hold all 3 buttons, then release the power button and it went back to recovery.

Im having trouble recovering from a softbrick, i've used matt utility 1.6 to try and restore to 2.3.6 but every time I choose option 1(restore to 2.3.6) it doesnt do anything to my phone(I am in ap fastboot mode) it just says the system cannot find the path specified, what do I do i need help please!
Edit: I am stuck at the boot screen(moto logo/dual core tech), I can get back to recovery. I dont know if this is a brick or not but i need help either recovering my phone or installing ics.

I am in the same boat. I can't get past the error 7 and error 0. Downloading Matt's utility to try and recover phone. This was a bad idea :-(

i got it to work on the second try. it errored out on me the first time, 2nd time it froze while booting, but I'm crossing my fingers now
