OFFICAL OTA .zip Installation Guide Droid Razr & Razr Maxx

FAILED!!!

I did a factory restore before attempting the instructions... I also rebooted once after the first cache wipe (after selecting reboot, immediately hold down power/vol+/vol- to enter recovery mode. Then wiped the cache a 2nd and 3rd time before starting the upgrade.

Screen looked like this starting with the 2nd wipe (screen cleared after reboot from 1st wipe):

First time, got error code 7, rebooted back to normal. Went back to recovery followed instructions exactly, got error code 0. Rebooted and stuck at dual core screen. Back into recovery, followed instructions exactly for a 3rd time. Bingo! Install complete rebooted and hello ICS!! Thank you to everybody and your hardwork for making this possible. I'm not green at flashing but far far from proficient so I tell you, follow exactly as instructed and at least try 3 times.

I am going to try this again. Matt's utility is taking forever to download

Sam here... Hoping my battery will last...

I have had mine on the wall charger the last 3 hours and I have had no issues. Through all the stuff I've done with this I'm good. Just plug it into the wall charger.

Currently at "updating BP ..." second time around

now on third time around. Please baby Jesus let this work.

OK I give up for now. Have to go decorate for VBS. I'm hoping one of you genius droid owners can figure this out. I'm apparently not cut out for this tech stuff anymore

My dumb question for today is:

Press and hold power, volume up, and volume down to reset.
Your phone is soft-bricked - follow the instructions in this thread to unbrick it, and if you want to try setting up ICS again, download Matt's Utility 1.7 here and use it to set it up through AB Fastboot.
Edit: Additionally, if you're low on juice, boot to AB Fastboot and connect a wall charger. It should charge. Instructions found here.
