Don't know what "de novo" is but I have a request....
I would still kill for a "Black Flipper" with no background in white. Ie.. a HTC white flip clock "naked" with the Droid clock font and without the giant space between the two flippers.

After you download the skin it shows up under "Installed Skins." Then you have to tap on the skin you want and select "Apply." Then tap Save & Apply.
Thanks Sodner. I think I figured it out. I was under the impression that Naked Skin had that pyramid look but it's just a transparent skin apparently.. like the title implies... "naked".
heh, sorry...I shouldn't post and edit at the same time late at night. Was thinking in science jargon. My intended meaning was, if anyone had any requests for something completely new (i.e., not a slight modification on someone else's work), like a different theme to try and match that hasn't been tackled before. I was thinking of doing one in the floating brushed aluminum style of this background I rendered a while ago, for instance:
As an aside, if anyone browsing the themes find that they really wish that the background of one existing theme had the font of another, mixing and matching on your own droid is really simple. Just download both themes and switch all the 'number_n.png' or 'background-x.png' files in the data-->BeautifulWidget-->skins folders. If you use the background from 'naked droid', for instance, you can knock out the background layer of any skin. The flip clocks are more difficult to mix-n-match because the flippers and background elements are both built into the background files, and the .png file format doesn't save layers.

Apologies if the answer is buried somewhere in the last 70 pages.
From looking at the various skins, I have an impression that only the color of the time digits can be changed; not those of the date or temperature. I prefer the naked/transparent skins but when I have a very light background on my phone the date and temperature virtually disappear with every skin I've examined.
Is this a limitation?

Unfortunately yes you can't change the font of everything else other than the time.

I love the naked themes it just sucks that the color of the font on the weather can't be changed from what I've saw. Unless I am missing something.
Nope your not missing anything just isn't support quite yet. I heard there a possibility of it becoming a a feature in the future though! But the dev is working on his twitter client heavily right now so not sure when it'll happen

Gotcha. I had to change my fav wall paper because I couldn't see the temp. I wish I could read binary cause I love that one.
