"Official" Beautiful Widgets Skinning Thread

So sorry if this has been covered already...haven't had time to read all 77 pages I am getting my Droid tomorrow and the first thing I want to download is this widget! One question though....when the upgrade to 2,1 eventually comes out, will this widget (and all others plus apps I guess) be gone or do they stay with the phone through upgrades? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but just trying to get ready for the arrival of my Droid!

They will stay. Apps that require purchse will be linked with your google account and thus the market will remember you've paid for the app. If you perform any upgrades that require you wipe your phone and lose all your apps, then you can just re-download the paid ones from the market without needing to pay again. Free apps, on the other hand, will not be remembered by the market.

You can back up your free apps with app managers or file explorers (such as Astro.. it's free).

If your talking about the official OTA update then you shouldn't have to worry as it won't touch any of your data. It'll only replace the required apps/system files that it needs to update your devices firmware. But it's always nice to keep a backup just in case

I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere in the 70+ pages of this thread, but where is the weather data being loaded from for this widget? More specifically, what weather service does it use?

Google Weather service.

It uses Google's weather server. I can't be any more specific unfortunately but I know that at one point Google's server had a hiccup and this widget (as well as many others) acted funny for a bit. So they must be using Google.

Hi i have a little request for my boy tim if he's listening... hangover is 1 of my favorites was just wondering if you could make it more black than grey to match a lot of these smoked glass themes and it would be perfect I lovee the layout of hangover

Did you input your zip code at the top of the configure screen?

Do you have Geolocation checked or not?

FYI, the City,state doesn't show up on the Smaller Home Widget.

BUT it should show in the Forecast Animation screen when you tap the weather area of the widget.

Look at steps 1-4(especially step 4) on page 1, post #2 of this thread.

Got the state to come up on the bigger screen, But temp is still wrong, Doesn't do anything when I tap/touch weather
Geolocation checked
What other things should be checked
Force english weather language yes or no
Temp notifications yes or no
Forecast opening effects
refresh rate?

I just bought,downlaoded and installled Beautiful Widgets. I installed the Naked Droid 3D skin. However, my question is, do the wallpaper itself also change or just the clock/weather widget. The reason I ask is because my wallpaper stays the same
