1. BW is absolutely my favorite addon. Currently running the Charcoal HTC Sense skin and OMG do I love it.

2. The skins I've seen are nothing short of awesome. You guys have a real talent.

fyi, for all of you that want certain skins "tweaked," its really easy to do yourself... just use your computer or a file manager such as astro and change out the numbers or backgrounds in the folder to "make your own skin" so to speak (works great if you want to make any existing skin "naked"

I downloaded Beautiful Widgets for free from an online link (Rapidshare), and it obviously isn't the most current version...it doesn't contain any skinning options, etc. on the settings screen.

Is there any way that I can get the current "skinnable" version, for free?

This is an inexpensive app - like the previous poster said - get yourself a disposable credit card and BUY THE APP ! If we didn't support the developer of this app, ther would not be skinning !!!!

I agree. For something that is not terribly expensive...I think it was less than $2...they put a lot of effort into their work, supporting them by paying for it should be something you'd want to do since the work is so damn good.

I do remember the mods making a post about not asking for paid apps for free...hmmm...:ban:...lol

Beautiful WIdgets 2.9 out: added a Brightness widget. Please note that it does not work on all phone, especially with Sense UI .

Maybe I missed it, but can you be more specific on how to do this? I've definitely thought about doing something like this.

I don't want to sound like a noob, but I finally was able to download this, I can get the app to run beautiful but I can not seem to get the wallpaper to change. I can get the different clocks to show up but the actual wallpaper does not change. Any suggestions?

That image that has the squares background that looks 3d, any idea on where to get that? I must have misunderstood then. I click on skins to update and change it, is that only the clock?

The skins are for the Beautiful Widgets widget only. Some are naked, meaning they have no background. Just the weather image and the fonts for time and date. And some have solid or transparent backgrounds. The only area you will see change is in the widget itself. Not your wallpaper. What you are probably seeing is some people match their wallpaper to their BW skin so it all blends together.
