"Official" Beautiful Widgets Skinning Thread

you dont need to be rooted to make any of the skins transparent. just take the 6 background files from a naked skin and put them in the redglass folder.

Is there any way to change the color of the date/location/high/low/temperature/forecast? It is white on all of the skins I try. Some wallpapers I use have a lot of white in them, and though I can change the time to different colors to be better seen, the other info blends in.

You would have to change the color of the system font in order to change the color of that text I think.

Yeah you can't change the color of it (not easily anyway) and the only way to change the font is to change the systems font. Hopefully Tama changes this eventually

The numbers on the real version are kinda messed up. They are too far towards the right of the boxes they belong in. Makes it look tacky.

- Added an option to display the date in a short format
- You can now select the application to start when taping the time, date
- You can now define an application to start when taping the 3 days forecast

No clue, FYI, posting it here is not the same as submitting it to the Developer. You have to do that via his Customer Support e-mail.

Also the person that posted their skin here could have submitted it directly to the Dev days before, or there could be a format isue with yoor skins.. in a nutshell there can be many reasons.. but I haven't heard of BW rejecting any skins yet. So if you have already submitted it correctly, give him a few days.

Not sure if this was discussed already but my local temp doesnt show anymore. Ive rebooted, i went to a backup, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing. Could the google server be down?

I'm not sure what to do. The temperature shows zero degrees no matter what location i put. Hope its just a google error.

Beautiful Widgets just outdid Weather & Toggle Widget once again lol. :yahoo:Weather and Toggle Widget (aka Weather Widget Donate) is having a really hard time keeping up with Beautiful Widgets.

the stock alarm is seriously lacking options in the alarm department.

I like the stock weather animations so I'll stick with those, what other app would you want to use in place of it?

I used the "time" to open the "real" 2.1 clock app instead of the old 2.0.1 alarm.

I also used the 3 day Forecast to link to the 2.1 News and Weather.. pops right up on the cool 2.1 Weather app

"Date" I left with stock Calendar, but those that use other calendars like Pure etc can link to those.

REALLY nice options Tama gave us!!
