~OFFICIAL: FRG01B FroYo Issues/Solutions Thread~

I manually forced the update two night prior. Yesterday was my first full day with it. For the most part I'm happy, but there are three issues in order of importance to me.

1a.) Battery life is atrocious. Just horrible. I used to be able to spend the whole day with heavy use and just get the battery down to 70% including going to the gym after work. I rarely, if ever saw 50% and that's if I didn't plug it in when I got home.
Yesterday, I used it the same and after the gym, the phone was down to 5%!!!

1b.) The aac and aac+ stream is broken. I can't play yourmuze streams at all through DroidLive which I was able to do before. This is a big deal to me at least because this is what I did on long drives. Thestreamcenter.com plays some streams through Cherry Rplayer, but the one I want(.pls) still won't play. This is the url from Themobilestreamcenter.com: http://c1.mp3.liquidcompass.net/WAXYAMAAC.pls
And the yourmuze url: http://m.yourmuze.fm/listen.sdp?is=35740

2.) Occasionally, after heavy use when going back to home screen, the widgets take about 10 seconds to show up again. Not a big deal, just odd.

Okay, so not only is it not finding my media in MixZing, but it's also not responding when I do pretty much ANYTHING media related in any app. I click the ringtone picker in clock or better alarm clock pro, and it freezes up and stops responding. I can't get to any of them. This is really starting to tick me off.
MixZing wasn't finding my MP3s either. I had to go back into the settings and re-check the directories that contain my music files. Works fine now.

Wifi only working sporadically after update. If I reboot, it will connect to my home network, but then it drops the connection and will not reconnect without rebooting. Wifi appears to be on - just not connecting.

I had the same problem and fixed it by switching my Linksys WAP610N from mixed B/G/N to B/G only and solved the issue for now. Hope this works for you too.

I guess we have different definitions of "heavy use". My old 2.1 could never go more then one day without needing a charge. ;) First full day with it today. We will see how it goes.

My screen also does not stay on like it used to in the car and home dock and I hate not being able to select apps in the three empty slots in the car dock home screrens.

It also doesn't stay on while navigating anymore (I don't use the car dock). Any way to make the screen stay on in the docks/when navigating?

I'm actually having some pretty bad re-draw issues with the stock Froyo launcher. Takes about 15 seconds to reload my homescreen after closing some apps. All I have on the screen is two shortcuts and the stock analog clock.

It bricked my phone. I installed and forced it on yesterday had no issues until after I got back in the car from the gym, I noticed how hot it was getting. Charged all night it was at 100% and after 30 min I was 60%. Got to the office phone was getting hot again. Cut it off pulled battery, rebooted got hot immediately. Did this one more time saw the motorolla logo. Then it reset saw the logo again and after that my phone never cut back on and still wont although I get the white light by the sd card.

Phone froze once after update; indicated that the SD card was full (not nearly!). Rebooted it and everything looked OK.

I dislike the time out in the car dock and the clock app when in the multimedia station. I don't want it to go dark and time out - I want to see that display of time and weather when docked.

100% same issue here. No one has the answer it seems. It is always blamed on an app.

I have Pete's Rooted FRG01B Froyo for DROID. Everything was working fine upon install, but today my LED notification light does not work. Anyone have this issue or a fix for it?

Edit: Correction, the LED works for missed call notifications and new mail notifications... doesn't appear to be working for text messages... I'm using Handcent.. Maybe it's just Handcent?

Anybody notice then when you are in an application and hit the home button it does not take you to the homescreen you were last on? For me it takes me right to my main homescreen. I used to have to hi home twice. I actually don't think I like this.

I just noticed the same LED issue with Handcent. It was just updated though. Maybe it is their issue?

Anyone figure out the possible issue with aac and sac+ streaming?

Does Corporate Sync work with Exchange

I have seen a few post on this and other threads about the corporate sync not working. Has anyone gotten it to work?

Thanks,
