One very annoying thing is that I can not turn off GPS. I've been through the settings menu several times and to "un-check" GPS location and every single time I go back it is checked.
I did install a couple of new apps today after update so it may be that one of those apps have taken over control of my GPS settings. (don't like that if true.)
If anyone has ideas or thoughts on regaining control of my GPS settings, I'd love to hear them.

Swype Beta is not working with 2.2. We will have to wait for the dev to update the program. It has been reported to them.
An uninstall and reinstall fixed the SWYPE beta
working just fine now
Ummm... does a factory data reset do what I think it will do? Wipe my Droid completely? Including all the installed apps? Will it still be 2.2 afterwards?
I can honestly say that this is the first time I've seen this mentioned. I don't believe there is a fix for it, but you can try a factory data reset out of your privacy section and see if that gets everything working again.
If it doesn't you probably need to visit Verizon and ask why their OTA update screwed up your Droid?
Yes it will wipe your data and your apps. But your paid apps (and sometimes all) of your apps will be in your download folder in the Market after you sign back in. All your contacts will return upon sign in.
Yes, it's a bit of a pain. Just did it myself the other day but there's a good chance that will fix your issue.
That is unless you have a better idea.
It would appear this was isolated to Handcent.... an un/reinstall of the app took care of the problem!

***Moving this plea to this thread at a moderator's request (sorry, just a newb) I'm going to start reading through the 39 pages or so of this thread, but if anyone already knows of a fix hidden within, please let me know ***
So the 2.2 update came down for both my girlfriend's Droid and my own yesterday. While excited to finally see many of the changes I had read about, I soon found that I could no longer take pictures...
The camera app opens just fine after hitting the camera button. It even makes the picture-taking noise and seems to take a picture upon pressing the "shutter" button. But the little square where the thumbnail of the last picture taken is usually shown remains black. Upon going to the gallery the pictures I have (seemingly so) just taken are not present. Also, some entries in the gallery (5 of the only 13 I have so far) are now empty squares: in the case where they used to be pictures selecting them leads to a blank screen, some must have been video because upon selecting those empty squares I get a "sorry, video cannot be played" error.
Please Help? My searches only turn up people having trouble with red and purple hues on their camera...
Edit: Apparently the blank squares showing up in the gallery ARE the new pictures I've been trying to take, rather than corruption of older pics. Also I failed to mention the the same problem HAS occurred on my gf's Droid as well.
So, when there are multiple updates available in the market will the option be there to "Update All"?
