So I got my update this morning. Only thing I've noticed is I lost my led indicator when I have a new e-mail in Gmail. Anyone have any ideas?

Figured it out. Had to remove, recently installed, Live WallPaper (LWPP) from Starving Mind.

Potential Bug with FroYo Bluetooth Streaming

Greetings all. I have had a Motorola Droid since January and just had the FroYo update happen over the weekend. Since the update, I have had a problem that didn't occur prior to the update and also an add occurrence that I would love to have explained.

First, the problem. Prior to the update, I always listened to my podcasts through my bluetooth stereo headset or through my stereo system in my car with no problems. Since the update, I've had a problem with "stuttering" on both my car and the headset. It doesn't skip, rather it always resumes from the moment it stopped. Do I need to do something like update my music player or whatever to fix this? Just a note, I have both the music player that came with the phone and also DoubleTwist players and the skipping with both, so I don't think it is a problem specific to a single app.

The odd occurrence happened during the past week as well. I use a website called gasbuddy.com. It is used both to update and search for gas prices. I enjoy updating the prices when I'm at intersections but the difficulty is the keyboard. If I try to update a price while holding the phone vertically, the full keyboard is very difficult to type in the numbers. I had wanted the option to change the keyboard to something like a numeric keypad when I needed to enter numbers. Since the update, I opened the website and the keyboard was a numeric keypad, as if the browser knew that the input was solely numeric. I was amazed and grateful. Unfortunately, this only lasted for a few days and now I can't get it to resume the short-lived behavior. Anyone know how to bring that behavior back?

The Messaging app doesn't grab your FB pic for the "Me" responses in messaging...

Well, before the update, MESSAGING was picking up my FB pic, & it picks up every single one of my contacts who have a FB icon & uses it in MESSAGING. What's your solution, then?

I downloaded the FRG01B and but for a few minor things all is well.

I had to go into application manager and clear the cache and force close for the camera because none of the still cameras adjustments were available.

I had a screen timeout toggle app that would not work so I found another that would.

Googles "mymaps" will not work.

The battery life is as good or better.
Wireless is great.
The phone does not get hot.

It's been a good experience for me.

Hi! I have a non rooted Droid. I just got the OTA for Froyo FRG01B and it looks awsome! the only issue so far is that the wifi icon on the notification bar on top does not show the bar. It shows the bars but do not turn white whith the signal strength. It does seem to connect fine, and
wi-Fi settings seems to show bars going white with the signal. Does anybody have the same issue? anything I can do?

For some reason this morning Google Maps works fine, and doesn't force close. Cool. Perhaps it was the threat I made last night to do a hard reset.

The only issue I still have is the missing notification "Droid" sound when I power down the phone or turn it on. Guess I'll either still have to do the hard reset, or go over to the Verison store.

Unless someone on here knows what's going on.

Also, how are people figuring out that their phones are faster, and the temperature? Are there apps or something?

I'm not rooted, and don't want to. Just thought I would state that.

nevermind about the wifi, I am now connected to another router somewhere else and it is working. It might be an issue with my router at home. Thanks!

ahh! it's so annoying! Extra screens is cool, but ever since I had to replace my phone, I don't have my old apps, so I don't even use the first three...I don't like the app screen either, or the text messages...anyway I can change it back? whats the advantage to this?



P.S. I also can't get my contacts linked with facebook...how do I fix that?

Do Verizon customers not get WiFi hotspot? I got 2.2 about 12 hours ago, and no WiFi hotspot =(

Your apps for whatever reason did not reinstall. go into the market, hit the menu button and select downloads.

What's wrong with the app screen? My wifes phone looked the same. You just have to tap the home button now instead of swiping it open.

The biggest advantage to that update is that you are now running leaps and bounds faster, you will be able to get flash and the phone is no longer left looking death in the eye due to the technological advances of other phones.


Don't have Facebook but I do remember seeing this option to tun on/off the facebook contact syncing. Do a forum search for Facebook.

Enjoying Froyo?

I posted this thread just to see how many people have gotten, and are enjoying there froyo. And for me to be honest, im not very suprised with it. It is a little buggy for me and a little trouble at times.

Did you try resetting the notifacation sound to droid? And un silencing the phone?
