~OFFICIAL: FRG01B FroYo Issues/Solutions Thread~

I think this is verizon's way to make money off of business customers. Are you using Exchange?

Try Touchdown ($20) from the market. Droid X users apparently can get a free license.

Just pull the window down and you will see the mount there. :)

The notification window? Nothing there.

There is no notification that asking you if you want to mount, I know what you're talking about. But yes, the notification window.

Reset your Droid and give it a try again.

did it (again). nothing happens or shows up in my notification window or in my windows explorer. it used to have a notification that would pop up and give me the option of mounting the sd card when the usb was plugged in.

Music listing in Froyo is broken

I just updated to 2.2 yesterday, via the OTA, and discovered that the OS all of a sudden doesn't recognize the artists or albums for any of the music I have on my phone. For every track it says "Unknown artist." Has anyone else discovered this problem?

Also, is there a music app anyone can recommend that might be a better one than the stock app?

Whoops, I see I posted this in the wrong spot. Sorry for the hiccup! Thanks for moving it.

That's gone. Now you just pull down your window. I don't know, can you try another computer?

I have seen some reports of music issues, and I've seen others that say it's improved. Usually the Unknown Artist thing is due to a problem in the tags, but if you didn't have that problem previously you shouldn't now.

As far as an alternative music player, I believe there are several in the Market. Do a search on music player and read the reviews, maybe try out a couple of them.

Okay, so a couple weeks ago when y'all first found the source of the "legit" FroYo ROM, I downloaded and installed it because I'm an impatient bastard and didn't want to wait for it to be sent to my phone. I also got the Adobe Flash 10.1 APK from my brother and installed it. Now, in my AppBrain market it tells me that Flash has an update, but of course since it's not viewable to me yet, I can't get the update because the page doesn't exist..

So my question is this: Since I downloaded it and installed it rather than getting it over the air, will the update allowing Droids to see Flash in the market still come to me, or will I have to resort to other means of updating? If so, what is the easiest way of doing so?

I guess I don't understand what you mean by the a problem in the tags. Is that something I can edit manually? I don't believe I had any issues with my music being displayed before updating, though I don't listen to it very often from my phone, and didn't look at the music player until after update. I didn't install any apps that have to do with music, that I'm aware of, so I can't see any other reason for the issue besides the Froyo update.

I have seen post indicating this. But you don't need ATK in the first place so your solution is to remove ATK.

Tags are like a serial number, it identifies the song. With iTunes you can go in there and change them, although I don't recommend doing that.

If your songs were showing up before, they should be showing up now. Tags shouldn't matter if you could see your music previously. Try a music player and see if that doesn't work for you.

2.2 OTA Update hanging on M

Hello,

My friend who is not tech savy just received the OTA 2.2 update to her phone but its hanging on M logo for 30 + min. Is this normal?

I updated with a ROM so I don't know how long the OTA updates take.

She is freaking out cause she thinks her phone is dead.

Any suggestions?

my only issues are my LauncherPro is extremely laggy when going back to my home screen, and HTC keyboard doesnt work anymore.

i saw a post in the first few pages about an updated HTC keyboard, but i couldnt find a link or anything.

Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

After upgrading to 2.2, I noticed that my battery life is horrible. It dies in about 25 - 30% less time than when I was on 2.1.

Has anyone found a concrete solution? I've only seen resetting the phone as an option.

Froyo Car Home and Exchange Questions

Received my update last night and installed this morning-I really like it! The bluetooth dialing, improved contacts search, etc are great. I have a couple of questions:

Car Home - it appears there is room on the second page to add application links while in Car Home mode but I can't figure it out.

Exchange E-Mail - it is working really well. I thought I read that, with this upgrade, you would be able to type then name of a company contact in the "To" area and it would be able to search the company databse of e-mail addresses and find it-like you can with a Blackberry. Is that possible?
