Remote Device Wipe and Remote Lock is an exchange thingy. It is one of the active sync policies where exchange admins remote wipe in case phone is lost

wow, i didnt know you could remote wipe... i shall research this now. i know my security software could, but that 3rd party software...

Yeah, exactly. If I could get rid of that 3rd-party software and just do it natively on the phone, that would make me happy.

But I can find no information, other than the FAQ telling me that it's possible. Please let me know if you find anything.

I think the remote wipe is only allowed with people who use it. I personally dont use exchange, but it would be nice if verizon would go more in depth into this. A little explaining wouldn't hurt anyone.

double calendar entries

After the Froyo install all my calender entries have duplilcate entries, highlighted in 2 different colors. any suggestions on a fix?

I confirmed with a Moto DROID user friend of mine today that before the update, he was seeing my FB avatar in the MESSAGING app on his phone, and now he does not. I thought it was only on my end that I couldn't see my avatar on just my phone, but it seems to be on other ppls phones as well.

Again, I see all my contacts' Facebook avatars in my MESSAGING app that has a Facebook account & before this update, I existed in this world too.

Anyone else having this problem? It seems that some of these 2.2 update bugs are isolated incidents.

Resizing the text on a page...

I am new here and I posted this earlier in another thread before I discovered this one.
I just updated 2.2 on my droid today. In the last version, when I enlarged the text by either spreading my thumb and index finger OR by pressing the plus button, it would resize the text so I would not have to scroll left to right. Sometimes I would have to rotate the phone vertical or horizontal to do it but it worked. Now with 2.2 nothing I do resizes the screen.
Please tell me there is a setting or fix for this rather than I screwed up by updating to 2.2!

I'm having an issue kinda like that with the browser. When I try to scroll up or down or left or right using only ONE finger or my thumb it thinks I am trying to resize and the webpage I am viewing gets larger and smaller jumping back and forth between the two at a rapid jerky pace like the phone is retarded. It has become almost impossible to scroll smoothly on a webpage. It also seems that hyperlinks have become much more sensitive. When I am trying to scroll sometimes the phone will open a hyperlink instead. Dammit they need to fix this crap or allow a way to turn off the pinch resizing and let us use just the arrows.

I am even having problems with the arrows. The enlarge and shrink fine but before they would resize the page to fit and now they do not!

I also had the ability to resize the page by turning the Droid from horizontal to vertical or vice versa but that does not work anymore either....

Very frustrating...

I am having issues with texts on froyo never encountered with 2.1, more of an inconvenience, when i receive a message alert in the bar i click, it takes me to the entire text thread rather than the individual message, same with the shortcut for a text, instead of that persons text page i go to the entire thread of texts defeating the purpose of a text shortcut, anyone else?

Froyo Market Issues

The market is having trouble loading in the past hour, on wifi or 3G... It's giving me the network error and asking me to either retry or cancel. I've tried killing the market, clearing cache, and even rebooting the phone, all to no success!

Any help? BTW, stock FRG22 rooted

Froyo and Apps on SD Card? *help please*

I read that Froyo will "...be able to store apps on external memory cards", and there is a tab for SD Card apps under application management. Does this mean that we can finally install apps to the SD card easily? And if so, is there an easy way to move currently installed apps to the SD Card?
