I really want to uninstall 2.2. I hate it, but after reading an above post I will see if there are any convincing reasons not to. BTW I loved this phone (the original Droid) which was working without incident before. (and I am quite illiterate on most of the computer stuff, so everything is obviously stock)
my phone is so sluggish now. just unlocking it seems to take forever. when I open the app drawer (which is not a drawer anymore) It sits there with out allowing me to scroll for 15 seconds or so. my internet is freezing constantly- and I can even get off that same screen (I can go to other places bit when I go back to the net it is just where I left it , and non responsive). a lot of times if I press the screen it doesn't recognize it or does something else. (i.e. I was looking for the model number just now and after the 6th touch it opened the swype tutorial). I lost all my musical playlists (but not my songs). It switches from sound to vibrate randomly.
the reliability is so below par, I am getting frustrated. If anyone has ideas on how to correct this I would greatly appreciate it. otherwize if someone could explain in very basic terms, how to uninstall 2.2, which I guess requires doing a factory restet. I'm not sure how to do this. (type slow becsue I can''t read fast
The problem isn't the update. The problem is an application (s) on your phone that are hogging resources.
If it's running that bad do a factory data reset, by all means. That will clear everything up for you and you should have a sleek, faster running Droid. There is no way possible that the update can make your phone run slower. It's got to be something conflicting with the update.
You can't go back to 2.1, this is a mandatory update. If you really don't want to try my suggestion then the only other thing you can do is root your phone. And that, I'm not going to go through here with you in this response. Visit the hacking area for information on that.
