bootloader is good - already flashed specovery to do a system dump

Sweet. Now comes the million dollar question... When will I get notified of the OTA update? Yeah I know I could download it and install, but I want to wait for the notification of the OTA and do it that way.

For most people it will probably be on either 6th, 7th or 8th.

Yeah I know. My wife works for VW, and I like giving her a hard time about the update. She said I would have it by the 13th. But if I do not get it soon I might just download it to see what it is like, and if I don't like it just flash back to the rom I was using.

this hasnt been covered yet (i dont think)...

If you have Swype, it will not work after the update. You have to uninstall it using app manager, then re-download and install it using the swype installer.

i cant say if this will be the same for everyone, this was just my experience this morning.

I had the same issue. I could type with Swype but not swipe with Swype. Also, this morning I had no luck getting my "B&B Droidlight" to work or my "Droidlight" to work. I tried uninstalling and installing the Droidlight again and NO LUCK. Anyone know of an LED flashlight that will work with Froyo?

I've had that issue with Swype every time I've changed ROMs.

Mototorch has always worked good for me as a LED flashlight.

Thanks...I think I figured out the issue with my LED light. I had the camera running in the background and I had used the LED on the video to test it out. I did a battery pull and everything seems okay. smh

Nope, all of that is gone with 2.2. I too miss the reboot Droid.

I just asked my coworker if he got the 2.2 update he said "what's that" I said let me see your Droid for a half hour...and that is the beauty of the Android Community

is there a way to force the update? or do we just have to sit and wait?
