I'm not sure if people are losing their vision or reading abilities en masse, but it has been confirmed at least 2-3 times per day that D3 method works on every single Motorola phone running Gingerbread with Motoblur.

How do u sbf not sure if im even doing it right can someone help please

I'm confused! In the soak test portion of the Moto Owners forum, Matt said, on Saturday:

The results are very good, and in normal circumstances we would probably go ahead and release the software. However, because we're looking at a holiday weekend, we're going to wait a few more days.

(Monday is Labor Day holiday in the US).

This suggests that it hasn't been released to all yet.

Repeating once again as it doesn't seem to stick:

Updates are rolled out in phases; not everyone instantly receives the update. They go by MEID blocks. If your MEID is added to the whitelist, you can get the update. If not, you can't.

Once 2-4 weeks pass, the whitelists are disabled and the update becomes available to everyone.

This is done to prevent the update servers from being overloaded (DDoS'd) by thousands of downloads.

@gasai yuno, you know i understand your frustrations about answering repeat questions, but even at rootzwiki, when i made the effort to read through 75 pages of gingerleak thread (inside which, my answer was NOT found), so i WOULDN'T frustrate anyone, you're still really rude. you need to chill out. get a girlfriend/boyfriend whatever you are. or maybe you already have one and THEY'RE your problem. no need to take your anger at the world out on people.

<br>actually I tried it on lacked GB(606) but didn't worked!

Some proper spelling would help greatly...again, keep waiting or flash the update leak at rootzwiki. That is always an option. The update leak is the same as the ota. 4.5.607. Like Gasai said, if they opened the update to everyone, servers would go down faster than you can say Droid 2 Global. Maybe as fast as onsale's servers during the hp touchpad scramble. Got it? Good.

Oh and as for it failing...Did you even have adb installed? Worked out for me since I had android-sdk already installed. And at worst there's a pre-rooted version.

FYI - just got the update pushed OTA to my Droid 2 Global...everything looks good so far...SE North America

Maybe now, the people thinking the two week to three week thing will agree, that as I stated earlier, its very very rare that the update will ever take that long...also that since we got ours in three days after a good soak, and great results, that the ota wold follow today...thanks for believing! Lol Hope you all enjoy the update...as for me, I'm loving the battery life nowdays on cm7 ! Peace to all and let's get this thing going...the blue wasn't for me, so I'm still rockin cm7..I have gotten used to speed and dependability..if anyone needs any help, sbfing back and getting their global rerooted, I am here to help...cheers! If you don't have the update yet and your on complete stock untouched, it will be very soon, at times the servers can become bogged....keep trying...afterhours usually are the best time..but try.....

My D2 is miles ahead of me running Cm7GB(OTAkernel)

Looking for the 2.3 GB update but when I go into my about phone and click system updates it keeps saying.

"Your device is up to date!

No update is necessary at this time."

Is this the OTA way to look for the update?

Yep me too. It is rolling out, but not everyone will receive it at the same time.
