Been up and down so many times in this game due to equipment losses. I'm struggling just to get 1000 gold balls so I can get a decent bat right now.

Are they ever going to give us the real nice equipment like iPhone people get?

I could be wrong but I get the feeling the Android version of this game is not high on the devs priority list. So I world be surprised if the game ever gets the sake items or becomes as polished as the iOS version.

I go on streaks in this game like crazy. I will win like 17 of 20 games and then next thing I know I am losing 7 or 8 in a row against anyone I play regardless of ranking.

Yep, that seems to be the case.

I really suck with the sharp changeups, the ones that dip all the way to the bottom. So, I avoid that red uniformed blonde pitcher guy with a smirk. That's helped me quite a bit.

But it just seems like sometimes you only get matched up with high ranked players that play really well (sleepers). And you can drop 17 points a game in a hurry.

I emailed the dev about that. No response.

Yeah, you can buy a FULL UNIFORM set (like Demarini) and be at 100 power and 100 contact for like 20,000 gold balls. Since I can't use gold balls at all (I have the top stuff for Android), I'm stuck with thousands of gold balls I can do nothing with.

However, I assume you can't use those uniforms in matchups -- at least I've never seen a guy with them.

2 question guys,

1) Please fill me in, what do iphone users get in this game that we do not get? Well forgot about answering this question, it was just answered in the post before mine.



2) Is there a lag between the score bar of what you and your matchup challenger gets ? There has been MANY times where I thought I won where my bar hits 100% and I look at my opponent and he is JUST swinging the ball where I already completed but then he wins ?!?

Also do you guys try to play people that pretty much have the same winpoints as you.. For example if I am hovering around 5000 in ranking, the most I will dip down to is playing a guy that is ranked 11,000...

Do you think there is anyway to compete with those top 20 guys with all the gear we have on ? Like we discussed we believe that having awesome timing + shortest distance to a homer will ultimately lead you to victory each and every time compared to us blasting the ball to oblivion.

It is so boring having 0 power. I tried that crap and it just sucks.

Also, that steel ball, correct me if I am wrong, the opponent has to hit that rainbow ball as a homer and your next pitch is a steel ball (ball that when you hit it goes 100 feet)?

I think the match-up guys with like 22000 win points have two phones and just match-up the phones so his main guy wins every single time. I have been playing this game for 3 months now, mind you not an incredible amount, and I am at 1900 win points. To be at 22000 you would literally have to play all day everyday just about. I just can't see anyway possible to be that high legitimately. 10000 or even a bit higher could be possible I guess but much higher than that, no way!

You have to remember -- there are 6.5 billion people in this world. If you know gamers, you know one of those 6.5 billions people are willing to wake up, eat food in bed half naked, and play the game with every breath they have as someone else supports them. I have no problem believing the guy at 22,000 got there fair and square. That said, I have no problem believing they did sign up with two accounts and just have the other guy quit over and over and over so it took no time to rack up points.

By the way, the developer says they are taking measures to eliminate cheaters. Should be pretty simple to write into their program algorithm. If someone keeps linking up with another player and they just quit over and over, eliminate said player.

Still, I've played quite a bit, and I can tell you there are plenty of pros out there that really can beat you any time they want.

I don't remember which special ball gives the opponent the steel ball -- I don't watch competitors play - but I do know it doesn't have to be them getting a special ball. Sometimes you get them randomly regardless.

That makes me think some of these streaks aren't so random. Maybe if you play well they record it and then curse you for a spell.

Yes, you can compete -- I personally play anyone I get matched up with, and plenty of those bare bones players (they usually have at least a bat, like the maple bat) can be beat. If they get a steel ball, or miss one homer, and you are consistent, then you'll win. But if they hit out all theirs, you're gonna lose...I don't think you can win at that point no matter how well you play. But again, chances are, if you hit all yours out, you will win.

Here's a thought -- what if IPhone players that have the better uniforms show up as if they have wimpy uniforms, but really don't ??? Someone who watches these bare bones uniform guys play, tell me how far their homers go each time...that should tell us.

I risk playing anyone at least once. But if they have a huge ranking (5,000 +) and they keep up with me, then I won't play them twice. It's not worth it to risk earning +3 when losing is -17. But I don't chicken out and leave the room everytime I get matched up with one -- at least one game.

If I can tell they've missed 2 or 3 homers, then I will hustle 'em for as many games as I can get out of 'em

You make a very good point on all your posts.


Like I mentioned I tried playing bare bones like the top guys and I run into 2 problems which I dont understand how they manage this

1) Getting the "Crash" is much more difficult because you are weak

2) You dont have enough power to 'muscle' out the homers .


So that means your timing must be spot on each and everytime which is very difficult if you play the "star" channel with all those curves and changups.

The lag is JUST UNDER one home run cycle, I think.

When you hit your first homer, it shows up. The other guy has nothing. When you hit your second homer, his first homer will show up just before your second goes over the wall.

If your opponent's score shows ahead of yours, you need to score! If you're behind a good player, consider yourself dead (unless they get a steel ball). If you're playing a crappy opponent, there's still time. Just hit homers...either way, just hit homers.

BTW -- I only play the major channel. If you play the one under it, you often don't have enough time to overcome weak players if you happen to miss a homer. If you play the major channel, the weak players will almost inevitably have enough trouble to give you time to beat 'em. Also, switching between the two I often find the pitching in the lower channels very slow and I get way ahead and foul them off too often.

One other bit of advice -- don't take this as racist If you notice you're only facing dudes from South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, etc .... avoid it!!! It's like a Homerun Battle champion factory!!! I get killed all the time by these guys!!! Tends to happen if you play in the morning -- when it's night there.

Is anyone getting this crap. All of a sudden I have some adware popping up when I play this game. A black bar comes across the screen and says "To register for twitter acct, press preference etc etc " Its very annoying as the black bar blocks the plate when it pops up.


Do I have some spyware on my phone ?

Ew!!! I didn't even know that could happen!???

BTW --- I made a comment about not playing other countries? (South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, etc...particularly in the morning when they are late at night)

Well...I'm ranked 185 globally, and 54 in the US. That should tell you something

been playing this game as well. which one is the steel ball? i don't remember what it looks like. all silver and round? i also see rainbow balls. wtf is that?

If you visit the HELP section once in the game...

It shows the IRON BALL. If you hit a home run with it, it will pitch the IRON BALL to your opponent, which cuts distance in half. The iron ball looks like a normal ball with a "whirlwind" design around it.

The MAGIC BALL is the rainbow ball. If you hit a home run with it, it will throw an "attacking" ball which blurs the opponent's perspective.

Not sure if this is still true. I think maybe the MAGIC ball gives the small ball, and there is a BLURRY ball that gives the one that disappears and comes back.

Someone that plays viewing the other player let us know.
