[Official] Liberty 2.0 Bug Reports

I have tried the patches, clearing data/cache, reflashing liberty(both thru TB and manually).... I'm on the newest donator liberty toolbox. The zipalign all apks as well as fix permissions options under tweaks give and !error message. Also get force close on schedular and overclock. I had replaced the toolbox with one on rummys test folder and that fixed some of the issues. Otherwise this thing is blazing fast. Just wanted to update on the toolbox issue. Can we just get a fresh rom and get rid of the need for all these patches/fixes? 2.0 was pretty perfect, this release introduced some anomolies apparently.

I agree. I had only a few minor issues until 2.0.1. I am going back to 2.0 until these issues are fixed. I have reported all issues that I have found.

Just a quick follow up as a new toolbox 2.0.1 is availible... this fixes the permissions and zip align !error... but the liberty settings themselves are still force closing when selecting dev tools, spare parts ect, as well as schedular, overlock and sysctl settings.... but those weren't working with liberty 2.0.1 with prev toolbox. Step in the right direction tho. Everything else seems flawless so far. Will update further as necessary. Thanks for all the hard work on this rom, its paying off big time. LOVE IT.

So......heres what I'm getting: when I flash the rom, dev tools, gmail, all works except swype. When I apply the build prop fix, swype works, but the camera loses support. What's going on? Am I doing something wrong? I wiped, tried the rom from ltb and manual install with same results.

Try this for the Camera issue...

-Hit Menu softkey
-Click on Settings
-Click on Applications
-Click on Manage applications
-Click on All tab
-Scroll down to Camera
-Click on Clear Data

Update on bugs since update to toolbox 2.0.2. Schedular, sysctl, working... dev tools still fc tho. Otherwise I can't think of anything that is causing problems at the moment. Excellent quick updates. Thanks for awesome support devs!

Edit: camera isn't working... droid 2... and on side note keyboard doesn't light when slid out, have to turn off screen and back on to make keys light.

Right now Im having a problem with the accelerometer. Won't auto-rotate screens unless I use the keyboard. More importantly however, games like Doodle jump don't seem to be working due to no accelerometer.

Also having an issue when trying to install certain themes. Toolbox either force closes or boots back after install and nothing changes.

I am having the same issue with my phone not going into landscape unless I use the keyboard, which sucks since everyday I use my car dock. Also my camera is not working, I have tried the different cameras and no change. When I try to use the camera there is a pop up that says "camera error Cannot connect to camera"

Edit: I did a whole reflash by going back to a older backup and the reflashed off of downloading from here and I have none of these issues. So if you are having the issues I stated above just do as I did.

Now I am having my gmail fc on me. Is anyone else having this issue?

Soooo, everything works great after fiddling with the two different tool boxes and getting the new TB to stop giving me errors.

But my real question is.....

Charging light????

:)?

It is not a priority to the dev.

I know that, but surely they will get to it sometime, right? I mean it is not a functional requirement, but I would donate again to get a patch that turns the light on. I've had dreams about that light coming alive again.

...sad I know :/

I have tried to install the epic blue theme on liberty 2.01 with accouple of the basic ways and each time I loose market.is there something I am doing wrong? I am on the droid 2 and I didn't have this problem with 2.0

I've been having the accelerometer issue as well. It actually started in the last 2-3 weeks of L1.5. For me, the phone would be locked in landscape mode. Sometimes I could open and close the keyboard to get back into portrait mode, but not always. The only way to actually fix it would be to reboot. In the last few days, it was so bad that I had to reboot 2-3 times a day.

L2 started out fine, but since Monday (I think) this issue was appeared a couple times. I was actually thinking about making a post about it, but I'm not entirely sure if it's a Liberty problem, a general D2 problem, or ADW Ex, so I wasn't all that sure where to post.

To compound on this problem, I even tried going into ADW's settings and forcing it to portrait mode, and restarting ADW, but it'd still be in landscape. Literally, only a reboot of the phone will get it to switch away from landscape.

I guess I'm a little "glad" to see I'm not the only one with this issue....

yea, the accelerometer bug is annoying.

Ive noticed now that my camera isn't working. Now it worked as of the initial install but after I skinned the rom with one of the gingerbread themes, its stopped working. Im not sure when it started because I've gone through several themes before just checking it out now.

Other than that, theres 1 other semi-bug and I say that because Im not sure if its a bug or just a PITA. Everytime I've installed a new theme, I have to reinstall liberty toolbox. None of my other apps, just the toolbox. I dont have any trouble reinstalling it from the marketplace its just annoying.

and last, a suggestion, I think it would be nice if you could customize color options for the toolbox to make it at least close to the theme for the rom. Just something I think would look nice.

I searched -- cannot use liberty settings at all. I keep getting 'Error: Package not found'. Do I just need to download the donate version from the market or get the apk from jrummy's site?

Do you have the previous ToolBox? If you do, go back to the Market and update to the newest one. You don't have to get the donated one. But, a lot of us like to because of Team Liberty's work and donating is a form of saying you appreciate their hard work.

Once you've updated to the newest Toolbox, get the new 2.0 ROM in the ToolBox. It will flash and install for you. Then apply the patches in the ROM Manager to fix force close issues on Settings. Then apply the 2.0.1 patch or D2 patch and reboot.

I did just that, but it turns out that the one I used on my phone was for the Droid X. I downloaded the rom manually again (the one I did from the toolbox didn't change anything), reflashed and it's working now...only problem is swype, I swype my finger but it doesn't translate it to a word. Will have to search, cause I'm sure I saw a post from someone else with the same problem.

add another one to the list of bugs revolving around the accelerometer...

When I exited an app today, my menu bar (dialer, app lib, browser) was on the right side of my screen. It wouldnt move when I moved the phone around on all 4 sides and would only move when I slid out the keyboard. Once I slid out the keyboard, it orients appropriately until I slide it back, then it goes to the right side.

Its extremely bothersome because when I open the app library from there, it squishes all my apps so closely together that my fat fingers cant hit them.

I've only had this happen once, but I imagine this will be a recurring problem.

I was able to fix it with a reboot, but Id hate to reboot everytime it does this.
