Still no fix for inoperable camera or auto-rotation problem? I have searched for the auto rotation sensor.zip but can only find it for d2g

Guys just try to wipe and reinstall from scratch then install all the patches from start. . I had multiple issues but I fixed it with the wipe and reinstall. . . I'm on the oreo slice theme ive tried to find bugs and ive had zero issues with liberty settings, accelerometer, or anything. . I had to reinstall and wipe twice but it was worth it now I must say! Don't GIVE UP!

Its not just auto rotation, its the accelerometer. Google Skymaps doesn't work as well as the gravitation readings off of tricorder. I'm sure if you try a racing game it won't work either. Anything that uses the camera doesn't work.

Update on the pulldown text bug I found. Spaces are automatically put in after the text entered when you reboot. Usually it's only a few spaces, but if you have more than 3 exclamation points, it will put a ton of spaces in upon reboot and push the text off the lockscreen in portrait view. It will show up in landscape because I think landscape has the text start on the left side instead of the right like in portarit.

Edit: It looks like I have more issues because for some reason it thinks I have. Droid X instead of a Droid 2. I did install the Droid 2 version with full wipe. Ill try it again.

Wait. Is the patch listed as the "Droid 2 patch" actually the one for Droid X as well? It says Droid 2, but the description is the same as the Droid X patch. Also, the rom says that I have both patches downloaded when I never downloaded the one for the Droid x. I just downloaded the Droid 2 one. I'm referring to the download from the Liberty Toolbok.

Hmm mine is doing the same thing. I have a droid 2 but after a fresh wipe and install, it thinks I have a droid x. Perhaps that's why were having accelerometer and camera issues?

Also I find it funny that during the initial android setup, at one point it told me to slide out keyboard to continue even though it was directing me through the droid x setup.... lol

Fresh wipe, no luck. Sees my phone as a droid 2 though

However, I've noticed the camera works and during the tutorial, the screen autorotated properly. Seems to be a problem with the rom

Are the people with accelerometer issues using the default homescreen or an app like ADW?

Right now I'm using default homescreen and theme from liberty

This could be a stretch, but hear me out:

Many of the devs and testers I've seen seem to use a lot of extra mods/apps for their phone. For example, I pointed out in a thread that when using a pattern lock highlights green on the default yellow GB theme even though that theme uses green in no other areas. I got a reply from one of the devs (and I'm paraphrasing) "I don't use the pattern lockscreen so never had a reason to change it."

Back OT: It could be having issues with the Accelerometer with the default homescreen, because none of the devs/testers use the default. They like their LauncherPro or ADW so why fix something that they don't use?

ADW is pretty easy to use and the customization is pretty awesome and its free. I use it and have no Accelerometer issues so unless you're all about going default all the way, consider it an option on fixing this issue on your end.

It could also be the ROM itself, like if you downloaded it from the toolbox vs the website. Maybe the download from the ROM is the droid x one. Only one download for Liberty 2.0.1 shows up in the ROM. I just restored an old backup and I'm trying it again. If it doesn't work, I'm going to download it from the forum page.

I've tried the default launcher, adwlauncher, launcher pro, google sky map, the star wars 3d binoculars (the R2D2 app), and tricorder; all of which use the accelerometer and they all are messed up. For the camera, I've tried the google goggles, the camera app, barcode scanner, and a heart rate thing; all of which didn't work.

Edit: Nope, not the rom itself. I just installed 2.0.1 through the toolbox and the camera and accelerometer works fine now.

Ah, I see. I installed it using the same methods as 1.0 and 1.5 and haven't had any issues yet. It could be interesting to see if there are other D2 users who installed off Toolbox that are having issues as well or D2 users who did install off Toolbox but working perfectly.

The ROM is fine, but I'm pretty sure now that it's the patch labeled "Droid 2 patch." When I download it, and then exit the toolbox and come back, it shows me having both downloaded. When I delete the "Droid X patch," and try to install the "Droid 2 patch," nothing happens. I have to re-download it to install it, which in turn shows me having downloaded the "Droid X patch" again. I think they are both linked to the "Droid X patch."

Yea, I installed it from CW recovery the way I do all roms and haven't seen any issues. I have personally never had good luck with automated rom installations. Maybe try an SBF and re-install.

Probably gonna try an older version of this rom or a different one. I'm now having problems with swype not working for the package not installed for this phone reason... sigh.
