[Official] Liberty 2.0 Bug Reports

My pics are not showing up when I go into gallery. If I use astro or file manager I can see a thumbnail but when I try to open it I get a blank screen. Any ideas, I flashed back to 1.5, I have too many pics of my daughter.

Restored last 1.5 backup then reinstalled 2.0........life is good no more mms fc

Whenever my alarm goes off with the "Sleep As An Droid" app it gets sluggish and it takes time for me to dismiss the alarm. Ill do a fake alarm later and get a log for you guys.

my boot logo is messed up. the initial "liberty" graphic displays fine, but the next part--where it is normally the eagle logo--is just a wide yellow bar.

also, i can't for the life of me figure out how to download themes from the new toolbox. where is the option?

ok, reinstalled liberty and fixed the boot logo.

also figured out where to download themes. that's what i get for not reading the board first. ;-)

so, everything working fine for me so far.

black on black

im running liberty 2.0 with orange slice theme and in the toolbox, the pulldown bar editor text box is a black background with black text.

Also, I've tried to download the black dolphin from the toolbox several times and its failed every time. other things i download work fine though.

lastly, could you add theme previewing back into the toolbox. i miss having the previews. thanks.

had a problem with twitter black and inverted themes. they would not install from the toolbox. Same with dark miren browser theme.
had to uninstall miren and twitter, and then used astro to install twitter inverted and dark miren themes. worked like a charm.
someone else said poweramp would not work; it does for me.
i, too get the wide yellow bar at startup and i assume it is because i changed the boot animation to none or minimum, whatever it was to speed up the start up; i could be wrong.
would love to have blur alarm clock and swype back, but oh well.

I searched and haven't seen this yet so adding in the hopes it helps with the debug effort. My swype no longer works properly. I went from Liberty 1.5 to 2.0 with no detour to GB. I backed up and wiped as directed and everything fine except for swype so far. I've been through everything I can think of like selecting the input method etc. Any ideas? The best way I can describe it is that I can swype on the keyboard and the line trace works but never polulates into any text box. I'm just swyping away for fun.

I'm new to the forum so bear with me but I have to also chime in with everyone else when I say thanks for the effort and totally worth $5. I was ALMOST going to go over to the dark side (iPhone) until I found Liberty. Now I am having so much fun with this phone I can hardly stand it.

I just received an error message that says this
"The swype package you installed is configured for another device and will operate with limited functionality. Please contact swype about this issue."

I would try deleting swype completely and reinstalling the newest version. First make sure swype is not set as your current input method. Use a program that can navigate and delete system files (I use root explorer)

Delete the following files:
\system\app\swype.apk
\data\dalvik-cache\system@[email protected]@classes.dex
\system\lib\libSwypeCore.so

Goto Swype | Text Input for Screens and sign up for the open beta. Download the swype beta installer and install swype. This fixed all the issues I was having with swype. I am on liberty 2.0 with a Droid X so I'm not sure if it works different since you are on a D2. Hopefully this will help you.

That wide yellow bar is half intended. Stock android, when you remove the bootanimation, has just the word Android with a shine that runs through it. It's supposed to do that, but with saying Liberty.. however I think the image was corrupted somehow. I'll look into it.

update: too dumb to have found swype (sorry). i long-pressed on a blank text box and a popup allowed me to chose input method, swype.

2 issues to address

Okay so i just got liberty 2.0 today and i love it great job. i have currently found 2 issues that i dont know if its me or the rom itself.

the rom installed perfectly. (wipe first always)

the first thing i noticed was that if i try to go into setting on my home button going into the "Liberty Settings" tab it force closes 100% of the time. now i dont know if this is something that is removed and just didnt get cleared offf my phone with the wipe if so then my bad.

the other thing which is kind of major to me. is that i tried to make some calls out. now the call goes through but i get no sound on my end at all. no dial tone no number press nothing. i had a friend verify the call was received they could hear me but could not hear them. thinking it might be me i rolled back to V1.5 and now it works.

i currently haven't tried to receive calls i might roll back to 2.0 just to check and post later.

any help on my issues would be great. thanks guys keep up the awesome work.

[Update] okay so when i rolled my phone back to 2.0 calling works perfect now mabey it was something i did but the liberty settings tab does still crash whenever i try to open it.

I an stubborn so after I admitted defeat I tried one last time.I did everything vismal suggested again and this time noticed I had 3 swype install apks in my download folder. I deleted those and this time perfect. Swyping again and happy.






Thanks. I was able to do all of this and now I'm getting a swype registration failed error. I tried re downloading the installer and no go. Then tried a second email and redownloading and again no go. I may just go back to stock because of how much I use swype.

Umm...lol not sure what the hot reboot does in the toolbox but it does turn off your radio.

I fixed my permission and zip alligned all apks so I wanted to reboot just to make sure everything went well. As I was hitting restart I noticed it sed hot reboot. Now no radio. I read the change log and has nothing for a hot reboot. Ideas?
Oh the reason why I was doing this was to see if it fixed a lot of my fc issues.
