Official Team D1-MIUI-10.22-V5.X Release

I think it has to do with the RiskReward factor. For something to be fixed, there it must be modded, then that breaks something else. Syncing Facebook is low priority. If it is that important to those then stay on 3.3.
Lets wait til it gets out of Beta to be disappointed in the things that are not working.

I'm noticing a little lag here and there. Does the lag fix from 4.11 work on this as well?

What lag fix are you referring to? I never had an issue with 4.1.1 with lagging, but I am now with v.5.

Time to do some 4.1.1 thread hunting!dancedroid

Here's a link to the thread...

I used the unofficial update from 4.1.1 and it worked fine.

Also, I tried to address groups through Gmail's web interface and I now have duplicate groups. It appears that there is no way to remove a group from the phone, even if it is deleted from Gmail.

I have to say that I loved the convience that the fb sync brought with it.
But you gotta try out MySyncPix if you just want the photos.
And what this does that fb didn't was actually SAVE the image to the contact.

So that favorites contacts you always liked but wanted the really pictures? Solved. try it out. I was skeptic but now I believe.

I'm using MySyncPix to get the pictures. I actually prefer that it doesn't save the pictures to the contact, because I've had problems in the past by doing that, and then when the Facebook picture changes, my contact image stays the same. That being said, MySyncPix is a suitable patch until this gets fixed. What I miss is the integration of Facebook with the contacts (status updates visible, the ability to write on someone's wall right from my contacts list, etc.)

I'd like to add that I hope this doesn't come of as a bashing of the ROM. I'm loving it thus far, and will continue to. I just have trouble understanding what necessitated the removal of this functionality (which I understand is nowhere near the top of the priority list of things that need to work.)

This has nothing to do with the English devs. Facebook isn't big in China so debugging Facebook problems isn't their number one priority.

Numeric keyboard for pinlock is broken. All you see is blocks of colors instead of numbers.

You have to do a wild guess. Since exchange account requires pinlock this is even more pain to deal with.

Any fixes for this?

SS 4.8 or MIUI give me the exact same battery life. Easily last all day 4am - 9pm with at least 40% on moderate usage and 60-70% on normal light usage. I see no difference at least with how I use the phone and battery life on either rom.

strangely different for me

Yeah me too. I have to charge mine on lunch every day. I love this rom just wish the battery was alittle better

ok to test if it is the rom do a clean install wipe everything and install

edit- you should clear your battery info in recovery mode before installing.

boot up skip signing into your email account charge the battery completly and do not install any apps. and then use it about as much as you use it every day instead of using an app that you would have to download spend an equivalent amount of time browsing the web on your phone. if you still have issues i would say either the rom doesnt like your kernel or your phone.

I use two different Gmail accounts on my Droid. When I try to add the second account I get a partial reboot. The phone reboots to the boot animation screen - not all the way to the white M logo.

I will reload this after another wipe and try a second time to load two Gmail accounts.

I also have two Gmail accounts and for the record I did not have any issue. I realize this doesn't help much, but I just wanted put it out there that it's not a universal issue with the ROM.

I am having the partial reboot issue, just noticed it. I use 5(!) gmail accounts and trying to add the 2nd one this problem came up. Going to try a few tricks up to reflashing.

EDIT: Just cleared the application data / cache, next cleared data / cache from clockwork, then reflashed the rom, then tried a old gmail2.3.zip (update.zip) file I had laying on my sdcard.

Nothing works, I have tried with Wifi on and off, 3g data on and off. The min you hit add account from gmail / menu / accounts / add account
the phone software reboots (does not display a M logo, starts right on the bootscreen).

EDITAGAIN: I tried flashing the MIUI V5 Modded & Themed over this ROM, and installed Gmail from the market. Same problem, softreboots at add account.

ok i also use two account with no issues can the two of you wipe everything data, dalvik, and cache as well as battery stats do a clean install and try to add both accounts.

I just did the install twice more. I did every wipe and format. I still had the reboot when trying to add a second account.

One message I received was that

No app2sd partition found skipping format of /sd-ext

I saw a similar message when I did my nandroid restore. It said that there was no /s sad-ext and that part of the restore would be skipped.

Not working for me, same issue.

I have tried this with the stock kernel as well as chevy's ULV 1250mhz kernel.

Would pulling my SDcard then trying to add the account matter?

Did that already

that sd-ext not found code is not specific to this ROM. Unless you have formated your SD-ext and partitioned part of your sd card for memory swap...you will get this message.

It has no effect on flashing the ROM or anything else as far as installing any rom through recovery.

Just thought I would put that out there.

Im beggining to think that the FB sync issue is not just MIUI...but the fb account sync process on the fb side as well. My girls phone has fb sync and she is running PE, and it put wrong information in some of her contacts. She has contacts with pictures from fb profiles and profile info...in a the wrong contact on her phone.

FB in part needs to update their app to put stuff where it goes in a much cleaner way than it does. So...that is why for me...FB sync is not a big friggen deal. It doesnt work well anyway
