Official Team D1-MIUI-10.29-V6.X Release

Just want to start by saying this rom is great. had no problems with it whatsoever and it looks really great. thanks a lot devs!

I had a quick question though. I was wondering if it would be able for me to change the default music app. i prefer the one on UD1 for example because you can set gestures for it plus there are more widget options. I tried taking the music.apk file from UD1 and replaced it in the system/app folder but i couldn't get it to install. i was wondering if there was something im doing wrong or if this is even possible. any help would be appreciated. thanks

You probably just need to set the permissions correctly to match the rest of the apps in /system/app to get it to work.

UD1 uses the Eliot Stocker music app right? It's also available in the market.

Yeah, guys bypassing the setup screen and not flashing kernels isn't a nessesity anymore. Go ahead and resume normal rom procedure. Just make sure themes are compatible wit 6.2 specifically if you flash one. Also, don't flash any mods unless there is a good reason. You can all add and remove apps on your own quite easily. If there is something you want implemented start a request thread. We'll consider reasonable requests. If you're gonna use a backup/restore app make sure system apps aren't getting restored.

Have fun, ill be watching the thread periodically for support and entertainment of course.

Yea it is..i had no idea it was in the market but i just found it. thanks a lot for the help

So i will ask again since no one answered. Does anyone know anything about miui weather. Has it been translated yet and can i get a link to it.

I have the same problem with rom manager. when i go to rom settings or install from SD i get FC's. I did the fix permissions through ROm manager and still doing that same thing

also tapping/holding down the search button does nothing any more...

Solution:

1. Download both Google Search and Voice Search from the Market.
2. Using Root Explorer (or equivalent), go into /data/app and move com.google.android.apps.googlequicksearchbox-1.apk to /system/app (leave Voice Search where it is in /data/app)
3. Rename the above .apk to GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
4. Reboot phone

Now tapping the search button should bring up Google Search and holding down the search button should bring up Voice Search.

Publicanimal thanks for this it works perfect...
