Is anyone not using my mod getting force closes with Wired Tether? This seems to be the only issue I am having with my phone and I am trying to figure out if it's something in the base ROM or something that I have caused!

I left it out this time. If people updated it miui might still show the icon but it might not actually be installed. Wired tether 1.4 focrce closed for me on a whole lot of D1 roms so I think its a kernel/config issue. Ver 1.2 doesn't force close at all though.

Wired Tether 1.4 seems to be happy with the "stock" MIUI kernel. I haven't tried changing kernels from the one that comes with MIUI though.

Someone already mentioned this but since I experienced it myself I need to let you guys know. If the market gives you trouble delete all the data files from your sd. I would tell you which ones but I forget. Usually the folders/directories start with a "." and will repopulate once you remount the sd. My market wouldn't install apps "on my other rom" so I delete all the directories I didn't need and voila. This might work for clockwork mod too. I haven't tested it but give it a shot if you don't have the premium version.

i wiped twice, but theres people saing they havent had a problem just flashing right over 6.2...which isnt hard to believe since i did that with 5.1 to 5.2

I figured it out. It's because the tethering binaries or tethering settings are not properly installed or configured. You can reset them by going to Menu->Setup->Menu->Reinstall binaries/configs.

jrizzill, i am running your mod 6.2 on my v6.2..is there anyway i can flash 6.3 over that then flash mod 6.3 all without wiping..i just got my phone set up after a day of headaches...

Long time follower of the thread, but first time posting. I believe I've found a minor nuisance. I am a google voice user and when typing in a contacts phone number into the dial pad, if I click on the contact, the call is made based on my google voice preferences. If I click call on the dialpad, the call is made through the dialer, and therefore disregards any google voice settings. Anyone have any ideas, or did I miss the fix somewhere in the threads.

Jrizzill. I uninstalled the wireless tether and reinstalled it from the market. It seems to work fine now.
