does anyone know the progress of the translating the weather app??

I think i read where translating is not the only issue. I think they also have to figure out how to get it to show the weather for other locations besides china.

I can't seem to download from the market, it says it downloads the apps but then it just sits at the install point for hours, going on three hours for two downloads. I can't seem to get to the downloaded apps page on the market either.

i had that issue the last 2 days and did alot of google searching..the bottom line is that it can be an issue with the market where u need to go under manage applications, clear data and uninstall the market, reboot and then redownload market..u may have to do this after every app..not sure but that wasnt my problem....my problem was my sd card, take out your sd card and try to install without it, if u are able to then u need to go a file manager and in your sd card u have a file named android secure..delete that file, reboot and then u should be good to go....i hope this helps but this is what i learned........

I was actually in the middle of dropping those screens into a reply when BostonDroid asked lol. I saw a few people ask so I figured it was time to post them. I'm looking for screens of the entire rom.

Does anyone feel like posting thorough screen shots of MIUI 0.10.29? I don't have the rom on my phone right now an dont have time to load it and load my current mod back on.

in your sd card u have a file named android secure..delete that file, reboot and then u should be good to go....i hope this helps but this is what i learned........

This is recommended for fixing the market issues if there are any. There are other data files on your sd you might want to delete. The data will repopulate after the sd is remounted. Most of the files start with a "."

I'm sure we'll see it someday but it's anyones guess one when that will be. I think they also need to hack the app to change where it pulls the weather info from. At the moment I believe it pulls it from a Chinese source. With global interest in this rom I would not be surprised if we get a working one or if the MIUI team decides to make one that is global already. I am not positive on the whole pulling the weather from a source thing so dont take me at my word on that one.

Yeah i dont think there is a way to switch between the slider and the button. The button appears when the phone is already on and the slider appears when the phone is off. So the only way to always have the button would be to keep your phone on (awake) at all times.

Thanks for the replies. I find that when the phone awakes, it's a little slow, and sometimes its hard to slide at first. It's really easy just to press a button though.

I wonder if there is a way to throttle down my cpu and keep the phone awake, and when I use the phone, have boost the cpu, maybe with SetCPU. But when the phone is awake and locked, I'll still get the slider. It has to be awake, and unlocked. That won't work.

do you have a profile on setcpu set for when the phone is off and wakes up?

edit: if you do have a profile set, try upping the max up a level or two so that it will wake up faster.
