Any word on version 7 metick? Last I read it was sopposed to come out at two this morning...

It was never "supposed to" come out at that time, that was the time he projected. He then said that some issues came up and he wouldn't be able to release it by that time. He's run into some problems that he hasn't been able to fix.

Am I the only one who considers it bad form to ask for an ETA for work someone is doing for free? When it is ready, those who read this forum will be among the first to know. All you need to know is that it's not ready yet. If he feels like giving us an update, he will.

He hasn't been on, so he's either working on it or something else has come up. Important that is.

Well he usually posts updates and I couldn't keep up with the forum because I had work. I figured there was a problem that he ran into it couldn't imagine trying to translate a Chinese rom and have it run on a phone it wasn't made to run on. And I think we're all thank full that this is free...

I hear you, and we are all looking forward to the new version. You seemed a little impatient in your post and that is what I object to. Forgive me if I was mistaken. He will let us know when it is ready, him giving us an update saying that "it's still not ready" doesn't really do anyone much good. Until then, "patience, grasshopper".

everyone needs to relax...sit back and have a beer, or twelve. or an entire case if it serves you well enough.
everyone was complaining about him "releasing the ROM before all the kinks were worked out!...and that its bad form to not test it as much as possible before you release it to the public!..." lol make up your minds.
im sure hes got a good reason for not releasing it and yeah it is nice that its free. i know i personally am one poor S.O.B. and i find it extremely helpful that this is free. ill wait a week if i have to.

Just wanted to say this is a GREAT rom! I just flashed it about a week ago and its by far the best one I have used. I use to be hardcore to cynogenmod, but after flashing MIUI I cant go back lol. Keep up the great work guys

Haha I'm sorry. All this heated discussion is making me... Heated.

Anyway, other than the music controls (which I honestly have longed for since first using this rom) what might we be expecting what this particular build?

Of course I understand metickone has a life to tend to, responsibilities and obligations to be fulfilled. And I would certainly rather wait a few weeks for a solid rom then something hastily thrown together to appease the droid forum masses. I do think sometimes though that its easy to forget this is 100% for fun.

This build is mainly bug fixes. Apart from lock-screen music controls, and 2 new icons (phone + contacts).

I think they are supposed to have an unread count built into them also. You can always hit up miui.com in the chrome browser for a change log. I use chrome for the translation feature.

Jw is there a chrome browser for mobile by chance im sure there isn't but dosnt hurt to ask
