I had an issue with the lights on the hard keys. They refused to light up til I rebooted my phone. Never had that happen before. Anyone else experience that issue?

Yeah, I have. Real easy fix. It depends on your display setting. Use the "Power control" widget and put in on auto if you have the brightness all the way down it turns the lights off. Pretty cool if you ask me!

I have two relatively minor issues that I wanted to see if anyone else has had.

The first is that every time I reboot, I get an alert that visual voicemail failed to contact the server. Everything seems to work fine when I do get a voicemail, but I get this alert ever so often. Anyone know why.

The second issue I have is with ROM Manager. The first problem I notice is that when ROM Manager is installed, if I reboot with the phone plugged in to a charger, it will often freeze after the Motorola logo. If I unplug and pull the battery, the reboot completes as normal. Also, when I try any operations from ROM Manager such as backup, it reboots into clockwork then freezes with the status bar about a fifth of the way through. I have the Droid 2 bootstrapper installed and I can reboot into clockwork and manually backup without issue. Any suggestions?

You have to turn the notifications off in that application.

Actually, it is much more unfortunate than that. You have to do a factory rest for that syncing issue to be resolved

The issue with the sync icon is an error with blurcontactsync.apk. It is still trying to sync contacts even though they have all be synced from activation. THE FIX: go into root explorer, look for blurcontactssync.apk under system/app and add .bak to the end. You should see the icon disappear immediately. If you remove the .bak it will come back in just a short time.

Now I plan to just leave it named this way until I either add a few contacts to my list and need to resync, or until an official release is made or we have a rom released.

I hope this helps all of you. It should fix issues with battery life too. Good luck

You can resolve this issue several ways, if you have a Bootstrap backup of a previous version of GB you can do a Advance recovery of the Data or you can enter Bootstrap and Clear Cache and Data will also clear the sync icon issue.

If you wifi tether don't upgrade. GB is faster, better UI, better equalizer for music and music player, new keyboard (which I hated) and more.

Ultimately, I wifi tether so I went back to Froyo after a few days. I miss Gingerbread but there are some bugs that need to be worked out before I will go back.

Using handcent since I day 1 of owning an android so I know how to set up notifications and LED colors. But ever since I went to the GB rom thr led on text messages hasn't worked. It works fine on email calls and low battery but won't work at all with any text app. anyideas?

Not true, u can fix this by freezing "contacts sync 2.3.3" in titanium backup
