Old D1-MIUI-0.12.24.0

When are you not complaining lately but any way with stock there is no issue there. Also did you notice you can password protect images in the new gallery.

I use a pic hider app that resembles an audio manager. Im not complaining im stating facts. Don't get defensive about an electronic device. I like features of miui but disappointed lately. Get over it. I did not break any rules by stating my experience after flashing it regardless if it id in line with your opinions

what issues are you having?

Installed slayher kernel and p3 kernel and get reboot when I install apps I have on my sdcard...ie fancy widget. That was the only prob I had but the apps would not install...it just soft rebooted on me. I can't deal with that as I have many apps saved on my sdcard that i install all the time with every rom I use. Stock kernel didn't do this.

And I've grown fond of lockscreen gestures..extended media control function with volume rocker..and the settings scrolling still seems choppy.

Other than that it seemed really optimized compared to past. Im still keeping an eye on progress and will flash every new release and try to set things up like I do with every rom I flash..but just reporting issues I ran into

Tried for 10 minutes. Thought it would be promising however I flashed a different kernel and get reboots trying to install any app from sd card. Quickly ditched. Also the miui gallery is horrible. 3d gallery is way better than iphone style.

This ROM is working well for me. I still can't install the alarm clock v2 from the market though. For some reason this rom doesn't like it lol. Also, I still can't believe there's no option to use "enter" to send in mms! Love the rom though.

......I don't know what a protected app is.

Neither did I, but I found this explanation on another Android site.....

The Android Market is a bit confusing on how it shows apps available to your phone. There are basically three categories of apps:

Free & Unprotected - Everyone should be able to see these on the Market.
Paid & Unprotected - People in certain countries can see these apps, based on your SIM card information. If you can't see any paid apps at all on the Market, you can try a program like Market Enabler that will mimic SIM info for other countries. I don't cover how to do that in this tutorial but it's easy to find how-to instructions elsewhere. I'm in Canada so I haven't had to worry about the country lockouts.
Protected (Free or Paid) - If an app is set as "protected" then Google checks your firmware and only allows it to be seen if you have one of the firmwares on their accepted list. If you have flashed a firmware or have root, you probably cannot see these apps on the Market. That's what this tutorial will try to fix.

The workaround that fixed version 0.12.11 was to edit the build.prop file in the system folder of the ROM. What you have to do is remove the # sign that comments out the old explanation of the description and fingerprint ro. lines. Then comment in the next two lines that properly describe the build and fingerprint.

I hope this works again for the 0.12.24 ROM. I am trying it as I type. I used 7zip to change the file "build.prop"

Got 12.24 up and running with no problem. But dang, it is slow, slow, slow. Time to experiment with some kernels.

On a good note, I am getting four bars of 3G sitting in the same spot I never have before.

never thought I'd leave lithium/ kangerade

I went from BB to Kangerade, to lithium, to lithium NG. My wife always hated her droid for some reason or another, FC, slow redraws, etc.. Just put this rom on hers, stock kernel and I have to say it is NICE- smooth, clean, after a few moments of "how do I make the home screen look worth a dang" got things looking great, the favorites quick dial widget is really sweet as well. Very good work. Was missing Jrummy's roms but this really is one that I think will become the daily runner until her D1 dies.

thanks devs! Merry Christmas (at least for 20 more minutes)

P.S. all apps re-loaded, titanium works, set pcu, sleep time, radio time, pandora, etc.. contacts came back with pics they always had. Gallery took a while but it came back fine. http://img.droidforums.net/forum/images/smilies/droid/greendroid.gif

When will the newest version show up in ROM Manager?
IT Shows:
Team D1-MIUI0.12.11.0
Team D1-MIUI0.12.3.2
Team D1-MIUI0.12.3.0
Team D1-MIUI0.11.26.1

Is there some sort of install sequence to be used here?

..

Nope. 12.18 was never presented as "official" so that is probably why it isn't in ROM manager. 12.24 was just released today, and it is Christmas, so give Jamezelle some time, and I'm sure he'll get it submitted to ROM Manager.

Awesome will flash later today since we are suppose to get a blizzard so I will have lots of time (:

Merry Christmas and Thanks for the hard work.
