Old D1-MIUI-0.12.24.0

Oh man. I just got BB0.6 set up how I wanted it, too.

Downloading now! Thanks and Merry Christmas! dancedroid :yahoo:

I cant decide between Bugless Beast v.0.6.1 or MIUI (any version), I love them both. I wish there was a way of having both installed and having a choice when booting up the phone...

I always wipe data and cache. I want the install to be as clean as possible.

Good to know guys. Thanks. I guess I'll start doing it. So far no problems with the latest build. It just so annoying to reset all my settings and set my launcher pro back up etc.

I'm using Chevy's 1.0 LV clocked at 900mhz. Fast, cool, and good battery life. I've used this kernel on every build so far.

I'm using slayher_7x1100LV_v1.6 and my phone is snappy. Give it a shot.

you guys have links on where to get these?

are you guys choosing to Wipe Data before install? I never have the last few builds

I did. I thought I wiped the first time I tried to install but I think I forgot to and it wouldn't even boot up for me. Then I tried doing it without wiping(because I thought I did the first time) and it wouldn't boot up again. Then, I tried again because I didn't remember wiping the first time and it finally booted up. So, I had to wipe in order to even use it.

Launcher Pro is the easiest part. It has its own backup.
Launcher Pro is what made me enjoy ROM and Theme upgrades. The part I used to hate most was resetting my home page.

I'm actually having some trouble with themeing.

When I go to revert back to default (using GingerSauve theme) it seems to hang at 5/10 I went to sleep with it there and woke up to it still there.

Does anyone have any idea what it's doing on step 5/10? I tried customizing one of the themes and it still hangs halfway through it. Any help would be appreciated.

huh, thats strange. Do you by anychance have any mods or kernels installed? you could try just reflashing the rom to get a stock theme, thats what I do sometimes.

Yeah, Reflashed. I'm restoring my apps and layout at the moment. There isn't any special rules we have to follow when we edit a pre-made theme right? (other than to make sure the hierarchy is correct) I want the gingerbread popup dialogs and buttons and few more sauve icons, but without the gingerbread style status/notification bar.

Yeah just open the 2 themes you want to mix with 7zip and drag and drop the aspects you want from one theme, in the correct location on the other theme. Apply your new theme in theme manager and voiladancedroid

And if you want to save it as a .mtz, in 7zip click add to archive and do as this pic says:

Martytoo - can you write here what you changed the build.prop to be? Thanks!

Jamezelle - thanks for the great port and stable release..installing now and Merry (day after) Christmas!

I am trying to attach the fixed version of build.prop to this message. It wouldn't let me attach a .prop file so I changed the name to build.txt and attached it. You can look at it and change the same four lines or change the name back to build.prop and add it to your .zip file for the rom with 7zip as I did when I installed it last night.

What does this build prop do, fix the market?

Does Video MMS work on this release?

Build.prop change fixes the market by fooling the market into recognizing the ROM as a prior version.

I was going to add a kernel but I've moved to 800 with setCUP and the browser is very fast. Not sure I need to add a kernel.

Has anyone added a kernel yet? If so, which one and how has it impacted your phone?

Mike

the stock kernel is plenty fast, but for me personally im using one of my 1100mhz custom kernels with onboot compcache. With a backing swap to my new class 10 sdcard.....zoom zoom!

I also apologize for the double post, but Jamezelle could you link me to your kernel? I've been trying to get compcache working over the past few builds with no success. Any notes on this would also be great :)

BACKUP first, there were 2 people that tried it and it wouldnt boot for them. works fine for me and a few others. It also installs a script that will start compcache on boot. Let me know how it works for you.

to check compcache stats while its booted up, from a terminal emulator do:
Code:
free
will show you how much ram is free, if some shows up for swap then compcache is on(will us sdcard for backing swap IF you have a swap formated 2nd partition, if not compcache will still work but not using sdcard)
do
Code:
rzscontrol /dev/block/ramzswap0 --stats
if not using backingswap
OR
Code:
rzscontrol /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 --stats
if using backingswap to check stats of compcache

To all: I will be putting up a no-wipe .1 update soon that will fix some bugs.
