Older Official D1-MIUI-0.12.11.0

This has been a problem for a while and mentioned multiple times but never addressed. How can we fix the timestamps in the mms app? It really bugs me I always text and can't remember its off by like 5 hours

I'm guessing the only fix is switching to handscent or some other sms...I've asked a few pages back with no replies..just got a text time stamped 5hrs ago

yeah this issue's been out for a while and i haven't gotten a single response about it either. you would think it would be #1 on the "to fix" list by now.

Have you been in contact with the Chinese MIUI team about it? Because if you haven't, then there's no way you'd get a response. You do realize it's a MIUI issue, not a D1 port issue, right?

yeah i do realize that, but with all the genius floating around in these releases, why is this so hard to override? i'm just curious.

For starters, we don't have the source for the MIUI Mms.apk, which means we can't take a look at the java code which would be easier than the alternative which is to decompile it and try to read through all the smali files (instead of just one file of java code) and then edit/mod the smali files.

And therein lay the problem, we don't even know what part of the code is responsible for the bug, so it makes it ever so difficult and highly unlikely that all the genius you see floating around in these releases would find, fix and just hand it over to the masses to then wait for the bombardment of people complaining about other things that broke after the fix even though the fix has nothing to do with what's being reported as broken. Savvy?

So it's just easier to leave the fix to the original Dev's and then you all can proceed to bombard Jamezelle and M1 with complaints about other bugs in later releases, as usual.

ok let's just say thanks and ignore any and all issues or better yet let's just make it a read only forum.... I'm sure you'd enjoy that so you don't have to hear our complaints

let us all appologize to zero for taking time out of his day to comment on our complaints and let's stop talking about any issues so we don't make a great rom even better

Complaints don't bother me none. Since I'm not part of the Team D1-MIUI, I'm not recieving any complaints what-so-ever. Why would you think they would bother me at all?

Did you take offense to my post? It's the only explanation I can come up with as to why you would post what you did. In any case, you shouldn't be offended, I didn't mention your name anywhere in my post for you to think it an insult to yourself. My post mearly points out the obvious. As an example, if I were to point out the sky is blue, I would be pointing out the obvious. I'm just not the type of person to sugarcoat anything I say to anyone in an attempt to make it sweet. To me, you either have a tough skin and take what I say for what it is (the truth), or you don't have a tough skin and take offense to everything I say. In any case, it changes nothing, and none of it affects me.

So by all means, carry on (as I stated in my previous post) as usual. Do whatever it is you normally do in this forum. I've already come to the conclusion that if we all do as we regularly do, or if we do nothing at all, nothing changes, it all stays the same. If one person stops complaining, another will take their place, and if I stop helping, another will take my place. So nothing ever changes here, it will always play out much like it has from the beginning.

Oh, I almost forgot, we don't make a great ROM even better. As I understand it, Team D1-MIUI ports a great ROM from the original Dev's which are Chinese, and the Chinese Dev's don't read any of these threads on this forum to see any of your feedback. And if you follow this train of though you'd realize that the Chinese users posts their issues and help make a great ROM even better, we as D1-MIUI users just reap the benefits and do not have any part of that process.

I'm finding a few of my Apps no longer in the market. Tried everything, ended up going back to 12.3. Any ideas why Apps might be missing?

Same here. I started using the Droid Overclock app recently and for some reason it doesn't appear in the market for me anymore after flashing 12.11 . I reinstalled it from titanium backup, so at least I still have it. Didn't notice any others missing so far.

Try going into manage apps and then erase the data, cache, and restart your phone. That should do the trick.

Yep, tried that. It's a few of my paid apps that aren't showing up. Remote for iTunes, for example.

Thanks

In regards to the timestamp in messaging showing 1970 dates:
this happened when I restored MMS and SMS on a few of my threads. When I opened them with the MIUI mms app the dates were fine but with Handcent some of the threads weren't, but when I opened those threads using Handcent and closed them the dates were corrected.

This thread was closed yesterday because of someone who had an attitude like yours. Captain complain. All people like you want to do is whine. You could try being thankful that jamezelle and metick port this week in and week out FOR FREE. Go complain on miui.com if you must. Its not like D1-MIUI has any control of the bugs that come with MIUI. I for one am tired of all the whining. Its making me think seriously about leaving DF...

just stop, youre adding to it. for real just end it here.

anyone got some info where i can get swype? (newest)?

EDIT: quoted the wronggg person before, my mistake lol
