Restoring data to contacts, dialer, mms will give you FC city. Make sure if you are restoring apps, it is only USER apps, not all apps. Try clearing data and cache for the three I mentioned and google framework.

ahh. i forgot to mention that. i dont ever restore those apps, just user apps from the market.

Soo I have about 150 apps that I had to restore. After getting force closes all the time, I decided I would split the restore up. So restored the first 75, restarted my device. No force closes. I then booted back up and restored the last 75 apps, restarted and no force closes. So it looks like that did the trick.

that was probably my problem too then. i have a ton of apps. maybe ill try this next time

I always start clean so i don't backup my apps. Any idea how I might get them back. I suppose i could try titanium backup for those apps and back them up after restoring my rom manager backup and then restore them to this rom. However, I would rather have them just show up in the market in the first place. Thank you

you've gotta edit your build.prop.

every device has a fingerprint that the market checks for application availability and compatibility.... 12.11 is using FRG83D fingerprint, and for some reason it's causing the issues.

the build.prop has FRG22D description/fingerprint still in the code, it's just commented out.

You need to uncomment the FRG22D description AND fingerprint, and then comment out the FRG83D lines.... to do this i just use root explorer's text editor, and by default it saves a backup of build.prop for you.


build.prop is located in /system

After Installing ROM, I set to connect to my WIFI network but my WiFi keeps Scanning, Connecting, Disconnecting. Over and Over again. I tried rebooting the phone but it still happens. Any Help is appreciated.

When this happened to me I had to reboot the router by pulling the power cord and causing the router to reboot.. Reconnecting to the router works better on some devices more than others.

u using the stock kernel? try reseting your router, this would be the first wifi issue reported...so idk

u using the stock kernel? try reseting your router, this would be the first wifi issue reported...so idk

i've been having this problem too. i'm using the slayher 1200 kernel. i tried resetting my router, still no luck. i'm going to try a new kernel, the chevy 1000 lv has had positive results in an earlier post so i'll try that and update.

Edit: the new kernel fixed it, not sure if that was the actual cause but it worked..

it says "in the my computer address bar, type this:"


so you put that address in your address bar in windows explorer, and it connects... i just tried it, it works fine.

Give that man a Cupie Doll!!! Nurlip you Da man. I installed the same Chevy 1000 from Slayher and as soon as I rebooted, I was in as flynt. Thanks Again.
