Older Official D1-MIUI-0.12.11.0

Okay thats strange..now by second time, do you mean after you restore all your apps with tibu, go into tibu again and click the same thing to restore apps?

i never tried that but you can if youd like. but what i meant is i reflashed the rom, then redid tibu and it works. a bit much but i wanted the rom without the fc.

okay sounds good! did you factory reset/clear data and clear cache before flashing the second time?

Off topic but will 2.2.1 flash the same way as 2.2 did? I got a replacement today and I'm not sure if MotoCache's method of rooting will work since it's 2.2.1

You already re-rooted right?

Because if you haven't, and the rooting method you are referring to is this one, then it will definitely still work since it involves flashing an SBF (hence the title of the thread "Rooting the Droid 1 - regardless of OS version").

yeah i did. hopefully that works for you. there was a post above that could help too.

Well I restored all my apps, started getting force closes. Restarted it and got sooo many more force closes continuously. I'm restarting it again and I still got force closes like crazy. I don't know what to do.

This ROM is really slick. Thank you. However, i do have one problem. several apps no longer show up in my market:

tv.com
diagnasaurus - paid
pocket first aid - paid
tmz
E! online
Discovery channel
CBS by CBS interactive.

I always start clean so i don't backup my apps. Any idea how I might get them back. I suppose i could try titanium backup for those apps and back them up after restoring my rom manager backup and then restore them to this rom. However, I would rather have them just show up in the market in the first place. Thank you

you didnt do system data right? also if you have nandroid, id go back to that and do what jamzelle said and backup with miui. i believe thats what he was referring to when he said backup manager

yeah no data...Well after this didn't work, I was gonna try what you said. So the first time you flashed, and loaded up after all apps were restored you were flooded with force closes? Then you reflashed the rom, restored all your apps(no data) and then it worked?

yeah, i only had the one force close that continually popped up (if thats what you were referring to) it was the acore one. then i went back into recovery, wiped, reinstalled, then redid it with tibu again and it worked fine. like ive said, ive had to do this pretty much each time with this rom. i always do Restore missing apps with data, not restore missing apps plus all system data.

i mean thats what i do. it could be different. if you do that and it doesnt work then you better try jamzelles way, he knows more than i.

Restoring data to contacts, dialer, mms will give you FC city. Make sure if you are restoring apps, it is only USER apps, not all apps. Try clearing data and cache for the three I mentioned and google framework.

ahh. i forgot to mention that. i dont ever restore those apps, just user apps from the market.

Soo I have about 150 apps that I had to restore. After getting force closes all the time, I decided I would split the restore up. So restored the first 75, restarted my device. No force closes. I then booted back up and restored the last 75 apps, restarted and no force closes. So it looks like that did the trick.
