Thank you, DJ, I found it. I was going into the "Edit Contact" screen as someone else had suggested earlier, and that's one step too far. I appreciate you taking the time to answer the question I was asking and making sure the answer was right instead of just assuming I was an idiot and giving me an answer that hasn't been right for three updates now.

Hey webeougher, I thought of a temporary solution for not being able to save attached pics from MMS that involves using the native screenshot feature.

Tap the attached photo to open it in the Gallery, then long press the menu button and hit down on the volume bar. This will take a screen shot that will show up on your SD Card in the /MIUI folder (it doesn't give you any notification that it took a screen shot). The only downside is it will have the zoom - / + magnifying glasses in the bottom right, but otherwise it allows you to sidestep the issue without needing to download any extra apps.

I actually just tried it, and it rebooted my phone. :-/ But it was definitely a good suggestion...I'll just have to keep using Save MMS until the feature is restored. Incidentally, who talks to the Chinese devs and suggests features? Was that on this site or MIUI-devs?

Edit: I'll try the Astro route now.

You pressed menu and volume down and it rebooted your phone? That's really odd I just did the same thing and it took a screen shot. Cause I wass gonna suggest after it takes the screenshot you can always crop out the zoom buttons. I tried this before I posted it this time it worked for me.

I'm using 11. 26. 1 on my Dinc (most recent available through ROM Manager for Dinc) and I have some questions.

1. Is there a way to config the MIUI music player to also access music on SD card?

2. I don't see a MIUI video player. Is there one?

3. Although this UI very unique, to rearrange ones apps/widgets locations seems very labor intensive. Is there a way, like through a pc interface, to arrange home screens in a more efficient manner?

MIUI music takes all music and puts it into the app. It even took my saved voicemails haha

No MIUI video player that I'm aware of. There is a native app installed I believe.

And rearranging home screens is a pain...nuff said. I just switched to launcher pro.

Weird that you got a reboot. The native screen shot feature is a relatively new feature available as of 2-3 builds ago, but I've never had any issues with it. I hope you can get it to work, I tried it and the results are pretty damn good for a workaround solution to saving pics. As you can see I updated my last post with some additional info.

My bad. I looked again and only the music from SD card is available, the music on internal memory storage is not available.

Sorry, but I don't see any native video player. I have rock player anyway but was curious.

Yeah, I've used the native screenshot app (if you view my gallery here on the forum, I uploaded five screen caps I took yesterday), but for some reason, using it while previewing an MMS image in the gallery caused a reboot. I duplicated it again with a second attempt, so it's probably one of those quirks on my phone. Fortunately, I'm happy to report that doing the screen cap through Astro works perfectly! Thanks again, publicanimal!

Ok i have a question... while facebook sync works, it pulls in all of my contacts even when I select to only sync with existing. Is there a way to fix this and if not, what was the app everyone was using when facebook sync didn't work at all?

It's always done that to me I think. And it's called syncmypix.

I posted earlier and just wanted to rehash it since it was about 200 posts ago and I fear it got lost in the excitement.

Can anyone confirm if Font Changer works on this? I purchased Font Size a few months ago, but it stopped working several builds ago for some reason. My initial attempt to purchase Font Changer was declined somehow (trying two different cards I have on file) and now it says if I purchase it I have no option for a refund. Therefore, I'm just trying to figure out if it works before dropping the $1.10 on it, which I have no problem paying if it does. Thanks in advance!

The fb sync adapter adds any of you friends on fb that have a phone number and info in fb phonebook. Its not matching contacts you already have in your contacts storage

Just install this on my droid, only problem is my screen does not rotate? Is there a setting I need to choose to have it rotate?

your best bet is to wipe because its a new release, not just an update. if you choose NOT to wipe, make sure you do a nandroid just in case.
