Older....Official D1-MIUI-0.12.3.2

I've noticed that in some games I try to play stay at the loading screens then just automatically goes back to the desktop (sort of like an automatic fc). I've seen this occur for Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Heavy Gunner, etc. Looks like it only happens for memory intensive games. It always takes a reboot to be able to play these games. This is rather annoying...has anyone noticed this issue and is there a way to fix this problem or is there any way to free up more memory so i can just play a game as i please without the need to reboot?

I recently installed this latest update for miui and I like the whole experience with this rom so far(only a few glitches here and there (when I tapped the text msg icon it would open my browser?!) But they never repeated after the last update) . I would like to start installing new themes and Widgets for this rom. I'm not sure how. Can anyone tell me what steps I need to take? I have astro filer and
rom manager and well as root explorer and metamorph. Do I need to unzip files? If yes how? Thank you in advance to anyone patient enuff to help me out!

to install a theme, download the zip...move to your /sdcard/MIUI/themes folder....(you can do this with astro or root explorer),

then go into theme manager (alternate route is menu>settings>personal>theme manager)...pick the theme you want...preview...click ok...then reboot when prompted.

After a soft reboot...your phone will have the new theme/skin on it. It should not effect your framework at all. I think that the app theme manager moves the .png's where they need to go (not into framework.apk, but a separate location where it looks for that image first...and applies it instead of the one in framework.apk). Hope that makes sense.

I see they have 12.11 out on the miui-dev site....do you guys think Jam and Meti will have a working D1 version out by tomorrow?? I imagine those guys are hard at work right about now if a working version is out.:)

Well, I know what I'm doing tomorrow!

Well, I'm not positive it's out for the Droid yet...I seen it's out for the Desire. I'm sure someone will let us know when it's on the way. Hopefully soon!! dancedroid

weird I got an invite for swype beta and downloaded no problem using miui 12.3.2 install just fine and working great

so how did you get past the licensing part? it wants me to uncheck the android keyboard which you cannot do as this rom doesnt have the option

I've never had had or seen that problem with Swype. I did the same thing that Red mentioned. I had received an email to join the swype beta. I clicked on the download link, installed it and am running it with no problems at all. Did you make sure that the option to allow apps from unknown sources is turned on? In the past, that's the only thing that ever prevented me from installing it.

Also, what do you mean you can't uncheck the android keyboard? You should be able to go in to the keyboard settings and select whichever keyboard you want (provided you have some installed.)

Also invited to Swype beta, but cannot download successfully. (insert sad face here)

Same thing for me man. No swype.

Can either of you guys give a little bit more detail? After logging in to the swype installer, it won't allow you to download swype? Or it downloads but you can't install? If you have Titanium, or root explorer, or anything that can view what's installed, check and see if there isn't a version of swype already on your phone. I'd remove that, reboot, and try again. Also, double check that the "unknown sources" option is turned on before downloading/installing swype.

Other than that, i can't think of what other issues it could be without knowing a bit more about the problem.
