Older....Official D1-MIUI-0.12.3.2

I wish people knew how to read the battery use page properly...

Your screenshot shows that phone idle used 35% of the 80% the battery has already drained (looks like you have 20% left, but you get the idea), within a 19 hour time span. How can you call this "eat up so much battery"?

35% of 80% in 19 hours! Not 35% of the total 100% the battery is capable of, not 35% in a few hours.

so solly to have troubled you with such a petty question, eminence.

thanks so much for your well-reasoned response.

thats why we have people like you to explain it to us lol. ive never actually cared that much to try and figure out the battery usage stuff.

I can't be here for you forever, you know?

Troubled me? No in the least. It just get very boring watching/hearing the same thing over and over; kind of like a broken record.

no you cannot. ill have to spread my wings some day.

I just updated and it didn't ask me to uncheck anything. Do you already have a version of swype on your phone? If so, you need to delete it before installing the new one.

Edit: Its not working for me. Lemme see if I can figure this out.
Solved: I had to toggle from swype to android keyboard then back to swype, now its working (Long press on text box to change input method., or settings /language and input/ current keyboard.)

yeah that doesnt work for me. tried it about 10 times. probably because im a new user and not just updating. hm.

Doesn't work for me either, I've tried a bunch of different things and nothing will let me disable Swype. I'm also a new user.

i tried to install a stock rom, install swype then install muiu. no go. i get that petty acore force close popup. i wonder if deleting stock keyboard would work? can someone tell me what its called? i was under system/app and nothing popped out at me

This has probably been mentioned but I'm posting anyway. My phone has been unplugged since around 6 this morning and it says it's only been unplugged for 7h 30m 8s. Probably a known bug but thought I'd share.
Just realized my battery has been up for 15 hours and hasn't died yet. Maybe this D2 extended battery is doing the trick. At first it seemed like it died faster than my original

If it says only 7 hours and it's actually been 15, then you probably rebooted it, or it rebooted itself.

Didn't think about that. Probably what it is. I don't remember rebooting but that doesn't mean it didn't happened. I want to say it rebooted itself earlier but I'm not sure if that was today. Been a long day

battery, battery, battery... smh. i went to the gym at 90% battery tonight, got on a mill, played music through the ear phones and after half a mile i was down to 50%. lifted some weights, and after another 10-15 minutes i was down to 20%. whaaaaaaat the heck..? i wasn't even surfing the web. i was just texting here and there. could the miui music app be draining battery?

I suppose it could be the culprit. It may also be a kernel issue? If your sig is updated, perhaps try using one of Chevy's kernels and see if that doesn't help. I had been using Slayher's 1.1 gig kernel and noticed my phone got really hot easily, and my battery didn't last as long. I downloaded Chevy's LV 1.1gig, and now my phone runs so cool with great battery life.

It's hard to say what the problem is because the results that people have vary so greatly.

i'm using slayher 'cause of the interactive profile. i thought it was supposed to save battery compared to on demand.

i switched from slayer's 1.1Ghz (LFY) to Chevy's 1.0Ghz - LV and WOW. usually my phone HATES chevy kernels, this im running a solid like 72F degrees contantly and its so smooth. battery life has gone up substantially too
props to chevy.

on a totally different note: the Gingerbread keyboard sucks. it really isn't anymore accurate and it neglects to put an apostrophie on some words like "i'm", "it's", etc. miui keyboard is better.

It works for me.

Just made a phone call and noticed that there is no tab to switch to speaker. Is this a known issue or am I missing the tab to access speaker?

Thanks

Mike
