OTA 5.8.894 spotted in the wild

I flashed the radio updated that was posted in this post and it said it failed. Does it fail on me because i upgraded to 5.7.893?

You need to flash first the "get to stock" before flashing the radio.zip..

I tried flashing it with bootstrap and got install faild. I then tried installing it using the stock recovery n it installed successfully.

Anyway,flashing it w/ Get To Stock and radio.zip has no success for upgrading to 8.894.I wish someone...

My webtop n system is downgraded to stock. We now need the kernel downgrade. Is there a kernel downgrade yet?

Yep I flashed and was able to get my radio to revert to stock, but the problem still remains that my kernel isn't stock. I can't find a way to get it back. Any suggestions? It's the last step I'll need before flashing the latest update.

lol, the kernel requires an unlocked bootloader as far as I know, so I wouldn't hold your breath!

with all of the talk of 8.894 , I hate to be the 1 to throw major wrench in the works but how can 8.894 be the next when I personally took this pix of a stock bionic at the VZ store on Sunday... It was an ota in store from the week prior...

That has come up before. There is a post from 11-11-11 that shows a Bionic with that firmware. The consensus is that it's demo firmware only.

In looking at the razor next to it, its running 2.3.5 so I'm guessing the true ota with radio/kernel and webtop will be 6.* and be 2.3.5 as well? Seeing as the two have the same , albeit tweeked hardware?

Id agree but it was done by a flunky in store via normal update on phone, not PC install?
With respect... Just guessing..
in hindsight that would make sense but then how are you to upgrade the demo to reflect the new update, lol so much work to have a demo only version when a timely legit update is dragging on.
