P3 Says Won't Be Releasing Soon

Look, I hope I am wrong but I hope this thing drops tomorrow and sells a billion units. But I just think we would see something more official if a release was imminent.

Who cares if this phone is on T-Moble... I for one want the android fragmentation to go away!!! I am jealous of the WORKING tried and true iPhone capabilites... Of course we can do anything they can do but there was an article about one perspective of Android and I say the more the marrier. That puts ressure on verizion to compete with the other carriers in data, minutes, updates, EVERYTHING!!! One phone to rule them all... lol

Now as for P3Droids rumors and everyone one else's, get over it. it comes when it comes. how can any of us be dissapointed when the phone hasnt been officially announced yet!?!?! thats ridiculous.

Next on the agenda... I think because of the release of the SDK the phone is complete. why would they give away and ICS phone (GNEX) in a contest that isnt ready... we will have this phone before DEC.... you heard it here first.

That's exactly why I'm disappointed.

ahh touche sir... Yeah I dont know how these things work but one would figure the phone that carries the OS comes before the SDK, right? I too have expected Verizon to announce but I guess thats what I dont work for Verizon ???

Indeed. I think too many things are lining up right now for a sooner than later release. I just really don't get why we haven't heard even the smallest comment from Verizon...

I think most people are just disappointed with Verizon as a carrier.

They finally get a chance to provide a couple high end phones and they essentially blow the launch.

They favor their manufacturers that allow them to load up their phones with bloatware and they leave Google, who makes the OS that all these phones use, hanging out to dry with no release date at all.

It just seems like they continue to make these mistakes time and time again and yet they never learn. Verizon has the best coverage of any carrier in the US and could be one of the best cellular companies in the world, but they continue to make the most ludicrous mistakes.

Cause Verizon is the debil and something is wrong with their medulla oblongatas.

my og is getting tired. when in vibrate mode and answer, it continues to vibe while talking. oh well im waiting regardless. this thread was some great reading!

I could see the so called "delay" being true. Just because ICS is ready does not mean everything is playing nice with LTE. We know this has been a problem in the past so it is a very real possibility. I would like to think they would have had it figured out by now but who knows?

Also if VZW lets this drop this Friday, or next Monday for that matter, what do they have to offer through the new year? I can see them pushing the GNEX back to mid December to ride the wave through Xmas and into the new year with its new batch of phones. Besides we all know they won't want all of those who did just jump on the Razr and Rezound to suddenly do an about face and trade it off on the GNEX.

Everyone using the contest that Google is currently running as a sign of when VERIZON will get this phone needs to remember that the contest is being held GLOBALLY. Not everybody that wins will be getting the VZW LTE version. They also have up to 12 weeks to get you the phone AFTER they receive the paperwork that identifies you as being you, which means the phone will (hopefully) have been released for some time before the winners will receive their prizes.

So if I had to guess, as much as it pains me to say it, we will be seeing the GNEX at some point between 2 and 12~14 weeks from now.

Remember folks, your mileage may vary

I swear if vzw puts their grubby little prick beaters on that phone and ruins it I'm jumping ship in Dec.

With all the bloat all over ALL Verizon phones you would think that they would let one phone slide without too much tampering. While the phone geeks of the world are relatively small in population it would be good form for Verizon to throw them their first bone since the og Droid.

The Nexus has a feature to freeze any bloat. This may be an ICS feature, as I don't know if the Nexus will be the only phone with this feature.
Everyone needs to chills bluegills and we'll have one hell of a phone on what is undeniably the best network period before the month is out.

If p3droid does work with verizon he probably wants to sell the phones with bloatware like the razr and rezound and if he says that the nexus isnt coming soon ppl will get anxious stop waiting and buy a bloatware phone that is my theory

Verizon doesn't give a damn about selling stuff with bloatware. Every phone in their lineup has some form of bloatware on it, one phone isn't going to effect them at all.

Look at all the bloatware on the iphone
