P3 Says Won't Be Releasing Soon

I am also thinking of going and renting either a Razr or Rezound, but will wait till Friday. If the rumor of a Friday release isn't true then ill go ahead and get a new phone and have some fun. Also Friday is my Birthday so no matter what it's going to work out!

Only thing I will miss is root and rom. I switch my roms pretty frequently but I am not going to mess around with a phone I know I am only renting.

Blasphemy! The first thing you should do is pick up a Rezound and root the hell outta it. Have you seen the screen in person? First phone I've seen that's looked better than an iPhone. I wouldn't touch a Razr though. When you're done "renting" your device, unroot it and be on your merry way. That's my plan. Either that or pick up a Dinc or Crapinate off ebay to hold me over. SBF'd my OG this weekend and it's still a laggy p.o.s.

I can't wait until Friday; I am set to sell my TBolt tomorrow. But, I am with you on not rooting ... not going to spend the time rooting a rental either.

Why such negativity towards the Razr? I am none to happy with my TBolt as of late, so even the thought of renting another HTC device isn't sitting too well with me.

The initial reviews for the zound seem better then the razr. I just have that "feeling" the zound wont be that bad a phone. In fact I am thinking of just going to look at it today..

I'm sticking with my OG until the Nexus comes out. Besides the nexus, there is no phone on the horizon, or already released, that I would rather have over my OG.

IDK - Either way it's a rental so I will go with the Razr. Like I said, my first experience with HTC didn't leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

I am impressed with the RAZR so far. the galaxy would have to be really special.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using DroidForums

AH! Chizzele my former Sourcery bro lol

So, you picked up the Razr huh! Gimme the low down man! I know I can trust your input :)

The build quality is something you can expect only from Motorola, its nice sleek and fun to play with. The blur on it is very intuative.. Battery life i got about 5 hours of solid playing with 4g, streaming internet radio to my car Bluetooth and more.. It is really fast and snappy. I think i am getting some data drops which seems like more of a Verizon issue and not the phone. It drop while i'll try to load a web page but all i have to do is hit the back button, relaunch the browser and its all good, it never happened with streaming music so its pretty rare. From a development point of view it might be locked. But from a reliable phone that works this is the phone to have. I am happy with the Camera, Call quality is great. Front Camera also great although i read some complaints about it not working with Skype (which i don't use) works well for me with Fring.

I played with the Rezound at BB and aesthetically there is no comparison. This is a phone i can definetly be with for two years of the Gnex end up a disappointment. Only thing i'm afraid of is that the Gnex might be Thicker and heavier which will be hard to get use to after this phone. I put it in my suit pocket and i would forget its there. All and all i highly recommend it. Would enjoy testing some themes on it :D

This is exactly my opinion. I decided to cave and 'rent' the Razr from Costco. I was extremely up-front with the salesman, and he had no problem with my plan. Anyways, the Razr has far exceeded my expectations. Perhaps it is just because I stepped up from my OG Droid that was running on its last leg, but the Razr is a great device. I will spend a lot of time checking reviews on the Nexus before I make the switch, but I can say it will be a much tougher decision than I originally anticipated. The size of the Razr alone is a huge factor. It feels like nothing in my pocket compared to the Droid, and fits great in my hand.

We are in the same boat, couldn't deal with the OG anymore and took the RAZR for a spin, now i'm not sure i would be able to let it go so easily...
