PHEW! That Was A Close One! Legacy Unlimited Plans Unaffected By Verizon Price Hike!

Can someone please tell me if the Alltel Friends & Family 10 Smart Packs are part of the legacy plans that are not affected?

Login to your account on Verizon's website, if you're going to be impacted you'll probably see a popup - like I did.

I've seen no pop up. Or mention of it in the bills, yet. Newest should be here any day now.

I am currently under contract until March '16, but didn't know if I was included in this round of price increases.

Not until your contract is over. The first bill after your contract end date should have the $20 increase.

So the Alltel Friends & Family Smart Packs are not included in the legacy plans and will incur the $20 charge?

I have a corp plan that used to give us unlimited data but I don't know if that's why.
If it is a true corporate plan and they pay the bill you should be unaffected. Corporate discounts and military / government discounts do not count and are affected. But corporate plans and government plans are not affected; at least that's how I understand it.

I just got my bill last Monday and am PISSED. Less than a week's notice that they are going to bill me more? How is it legal for them to provide notice in a bill that your rates are going to increase mid billing cycle?

A Verizon rep said an email was sent out toward the end of October. I'm sorry, but how is an email considered legal notice, when I specifically opted to keep getting paper bills?

I get paperless billing and don't remember seeing an email. But it's just as likely I deleted it without reading, which is what I do with most VZW emails since it's usually just promotions and offers.
