pocket

You have gorilla glass, dude, it's not going to get damaged that easily. I don't have a screen protector and I'm pretty indiscriminate with where I put my phone. No scratches.

^^this^^
I carry mine in my back pocket, no screen protector, no problems.
Of course I have to remove it when I get in the car, sit down, etc....no big deal...I'm just not a big fan of the belt/holster clips with a 4.8" phone. Wasn't a problem using a belt clip with my smaller feature phones back in the day, but the S3 just doesn't look or feel right hanging off my hip.
(Of course that's just my preference) :)

LOL! I wouldn't worry too much about refurbs with the S3 just yet....It's still too new for you to get an actual "refurb". There have been quite a few people on our sister site, the S3 forums, that needed replacements and they got brand new ones.
Great story though and I'm glad you were able to get it repaired!

I keep mine in the pocket specifcally designed for a cell phone on the cargo shorts I wear. Tried a screen protector, but it kept getting scratched up, took it off and haven't had a scratch since.

As mentioned many times, I put it in my pocket, glass towards my leg. I've never used a screen protector for my Bionic, and I can't see any scratches in 9 months of use.

I use this case, fits the Moto extended battery, and protects the corners in case of an accidental drop. They have ones for the standard battery as well. It's not near as thick as the Otterbox, but unless you're really rough with your phone, it should do fine.

I use this case as well. Love it! It still looks new after probably 5 months of use and dropping my phone many, many times. I do use a screen protector however. Have a 2 pack steinheil to apply whenever this zagg protector messes up. But its been on here for months and still looks great.

And this is for people who wear jeans alot right.?

Unless you wear super tight skinny jeans, you should be fine! I never use my back pocket, don't want to accidentally sit on it, but never had a problem with any of my shorts or pants. I've used the cargo pocket on my shorts too, but sometimes you'll feel it hitting your leg with each step, so it depends on how loose the legs of your shorts are, in conjunction with the size of the pocket, in addition to the length of your stride, and in proportion to the weight of the phone (standard battery vs extended).

Hope this helps!

I have carried my RAZR and my Droid X in my right front pocket from day 1. No screen protector and no screen scratches whatsoever on both

Always in my pocket, I hate phone holsters for a couple reasons; I think they look ridiculous, and most of the ones I've used actually felt ungainly and made me feel as if my phone was more in the way instead of out of it. I actually bought one of those holster/case packs with mine, but I mostly just wanted the case.

I just use one pocket for my phone and another for keys and what not.

No scratches to speak of but I also broke down and got a screen protector for it.
