Post Questions Here...

I have a few questions - and I am very much a novice in terms of rooting/etc.

1. If I root a phone that has 2.3.3, will that phone still be able to automatically update to 2.3.4 etc...?

2. If I root my phone, once I've done the root, is there a way to get the downloaded apps I had on my phone before rooting so I don't have to go through one by one and re-install each one?

3. Is 2.3.4 available for the droid x2?

4. If I root my phone, and for some reason everything gets screwed up, is there a way to restore it to how it was when I bought it?

Thanks!

Sorry, I took "rooting does not affect upgrading" to mean that nothing is changed from an unrooted to rooted phone (ie. upgrading OTA still works).

Are You Trying To Be Funny? That's What I Just Said. Rooting Still Allows OTA Updates. (ie. Rooting DOES NOT Effect Upgrading)

Jeesh, easy fella. I wasn't trying to be funny.

I asked in my original question whether a rooted phone could still upgrade automatically to 2.3.4. You said it "did not affect it". Then after your response, I asked for clarification, by asking if the answer to the original question was yes. You said the answer was no.

I think you just misread the way I worded the question and we just misunderstood each other.

Thanks for your help.

You Quoted And Questioned My Answer, Pretty Obvious I Would Not Understand You Were Questioning Your First Question. As I Tell Every Be Clear When Asking Questions.
