@252chevyboyz-They enjoyed it, many bruises on their knees, but they had fun. We didnt have any damage from Kat, believe it or not. We did have a tornado come across our front yard. 20 yards the other way would have been a different story. We live about a mile from the beach. There it looked like a war zone.

@Hawaiian Princess- 1 to 2 inches of rain today with it expected to last until mid next week, wow. That can really make a mess of things. Around here 1 to 2 inches of rain and they start closing roads. Its a good thing though, most people here cant drive when its dry.

omg last night was WOW. it really came down on us. all of honolulu is a mess this morning. if you ever wanna see dozens of waterfalls now is the time to see them. its been a very wet winter here. our big island is getting it with whiteout, icy snow build up. very high winds up in the summits. BUT at least can say we are part of 49 states that got snow...sorry Florida. Lol

Glad that tornado never hit y'all. Those things can do massive damage but are a wonder of weather.

Hope y'all aren't gettin damaged by all the water and runoff out there princess. We had hurricane floyd hit us direct and caused days of major flooding so I know that isn't a good thing. Hope y'all pull through ok

Thanks. Me too. It didn't look like a very big tornado by the mess it made. It went on to take out a wall of a school then on to a trailer park. It really messed up the trailer park. How do those things always find the trailer parks?

new update from Honolulu:
another round of stable atmosphere swept thru the islands yesterday and most of the night. strong wings, gusting near 50 in some areas. island of Kauai was getting nearly 4" / hour.
we got SURF for all you enthusiast. yesterdays waves 15-25' sets rolled in. Wednesday will be the biggest swell of the season reaching 40'+ higher sets. and that my friends, is the weather report from Honolulu

4 story tall waves, 50mph winds, and 4"± an hour of rain. Sounds like HI is breakin the new year in stormy. That is some amazin weather right there

Getting another 8 inches of snow here today, expecting possibly 6 more friday. When I get a chance I will post a picture of the walkway going to the front door. It looks like you are almost walking through a canyon the snow is so deep on both sides.

Wow 8ft is amazin for hanging ice sicles. Most I have ever seen is about 3-4 foot in the mountains of NC.
