How would someone upgrade the Unl3ash3d ROM?

Its right in the OP, if your coming from a earlier ver of this rom, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and format /system under mounts and storage menu of cw recovery, it will keep all your data

I will have a nice update out this evening. Yes, pop3 email is fixed plus somethings I have been working on implementing. This is a complete revamp that will also, work with the [D3]BLUR Transformation Pack that will be released.

I nuked one of my Bionics so it has been slow going the last 2 days, but.... lol

Its coming along. :)

Battery drain is definitely fixed! Off charger since 7am, moderate usage, & sitting pretty at 89%!

Update on my battery life. Used moderately all day, lots of texts & using RealCalc a lot at work.

Time off charge: 13 hours, 43 mins.
Battery left: 71%.

Pretty damn impressive, I'd say!

Thanks for this ROM it's actually VERY good. I'd like to offer you a few suggestions for 1.5. Several features that were included in Project Elite for the original DROID were VERY good and you may want to consider them.

a) the shutdown menu: the sleep option is very nice, as is airplane mode. I'd like you to consider some other options as well such as the option to REBOOT, instead of just powering off. Also the option of a HOT REBOOT has been useful for me at times. The option to REBOOT INTO RECOVERY is PRICELESS especially for people like us that are always updating or changing ROMs.

b) I've also noticed a problem, when I select SHUT DOWN the phone usually reboots at least once and doesn't actually shut down. You may want to look at this.

c) There are some bugs in the calendar app. For instance, when creating an event the calendar automatically assumes the end time is during the NEXT day, rather than the same day the event is created in. It also will not allow me to change the END DATE without it automatically changing the end time to the same time as the start time. If I try to change either variable, it changes the other. IE if i try to correct the END DATE, it changes the END TIME to the SAME TIME AS THE START TIME. If I try to correct the END TIME, it changes the END DATE to the NEXT DAY etc in circles.

d) battery life is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than stock but I guess that's the price of performance. My brand new phone can't even be on standby one full day without going dead.

Aside from that excellent job and thank you for your hard work.

We've been working in the power menu since day one. Its no simple task. No one else had mentioned reboots on shutdown. I've never had that. The calendar app is stock so if it had bugs they are from moto.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I just tried to update to 1.4, wiped cash, wiped dalvik, formatted system and it somehow erased my download folder so i had to power it down in the bootloader and push the 1.4 to my SD card. Now phone won't boot. :icon_eek:

Well djhacker developed a 1Click fastboot restore and root process whihc he has linked in this thread somewhere...so that can help you out...

One thing that we have been discussing is whether you can factory reset from the point that yoiu are at by accessing the stock recovery...you willing to try that before trying djhackers' 1Click?

yeah sure

yeah sure

Shut off phone...
Boot to stock boot menu by pressing power button along with both volume up and volume down buttons...
once in the stock boot menu, select 'recovery'...
then you should be on the screen that has the little android with an exclamation point...
press both volume up and volume down...
there you will enter stock recovery....
select to factory reset...

You should be able to boot back up to stock but still have SuperUser...

if that doesn't work then that answers why djhacker's 1Click is needed beyond what I just described

I got into stock recovery OK. Android system recovery 3e

I do NOT have the option of a factory reset.

my options are reboot, apply update from SD card, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition.

Just to confirm...you are wanting me to select the wipe data/factory reset correct?
