You are the first person I have ever heard say that in the years that I have been on Android.I hate vanilla Android. It's plain and boring. I much prefer the little enhancements that Blur adds.

I don't care for it neither :big smile: it's not terrible, but I'd have to agree it's "plain and boring". I prefer Blur and/or TouchWiz. ICS has broken the mold and is moving more towards being "skinned" but everything from GB to 2.0 has been pretty lame and boring....in my opinion of course. You are the first person I have ever heard say that in the years that I have been on Android.
I certainly dont mean to imply that I like the default launcher...I most certainly do not. But there is no Vendor UI I have seen so far that is better than the custom launchers. GoLauncher and LauncherPro just kill Sense and Motoblur IMO.
I only prefer Vanilla Android because it is a blank slate. If you install a custom launcher over a vendor UI like Sense, there is still Sense pollution running in the background. It is eating up resources even if you are not using it. Dont have to worry about that with Vanilla Android. That is what I meant in my initial comment.
IMO, they are full of ****. I have used it. It did not seem as smooth as a custom launcher to me (though I admit it is better than previous default launchers on Android). I would still rather have GoLauncher instead of the ICS launcher. If you're talking about using resources, that I can understand. But since Matias openly stated that they took the best ideas from manufacturer UI's and incorporated them into ICS, it's like the vanilla Android is, by default, skinned.
Obviously you have no idea what your talking about! The screen on the nexus is bigger than the razor. 4.65 compared to the 4.5 in of the razor! Quality overall nexus is the winner! Battery totally sucks in the razor. Nexus gets better usage than any ph I've used! I get 10 hrs on the standard battery using it moderately during the day. Nexus 2 thumbs up!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using DroidForums
having both phones, i'd have to say that razr maxx has better hardware while nexus has better software. i can do a lot more with my nexus, yet the signal, camera and call quality dominate on razr.
A bigger screen is not necessarily better. I think the Nexus display is better too, but not because of the physical size.Obviously you have no idea what your talking about! The screen on the nexus is bigger than the razor. 4.65 compared to the 4.5 in of the razor!
I'd rather have good quality than fast shutter speed. A fast shutter does me no good if the images look like crap.Slow camera! My camera takes a photo instant, what's the lag on the razor , 3 sec! So if the person moves they lost the pic!
This.I wont say that the RAZR Maxx has better hardware. It has better hardware depending on what you you want in a phone. All these phones are the best depending on what you want in a phone.
