[Release]D1-MIUI-0.11.26.0

wow for all of u that have set cpu set it to interactive and then the rom will run very fast and super smooth even more smooth than before dancedroid

Any ideas on how to speed this up and stop redraws? I've tried Zeam, ADW and LP. All redraw frequently and the roms been getting slower each day.

Compcache stopped my redraws, use P3's kernel and install the ramzswap module P3Droid Kernels. Start compcache with this script in terminal emulator... verbatim.

su-->
/system/bin/compcache start

then to check it

/system/bin/compcache stats

Does anyone have a suggested kernel with working wifi? I have been flashing ChevyNo1 kernels based on info I've seen in this thread but I've had no success. Everything else seems to be running great!

well i am using the stock kernel but shalyers work with wifi if u wipe then flash it

has anyone else noticed that u cant save mms messages within the stock messaging app? i had to use handcent to save a simple picture message lol =/

on 11/26 btw

the NAND partitions have always been mtdblocks (its what they are))

mccblk0 is your sdcard and thats always been that way....

Yeah, that was my brain fart for today. I had totally forgotten that the mtdblocks were NAND, and I jumped the gun because I was getting errors trying to mount mmcblk0p2. Then I remembered that Chevyno1 kernels don't support mounting mmcblk0p partitions; and boy did I feel noobish, lol.

so what is the differance between what Absolute system does moving apps to SD, and apps to ext? I have been using absolute for a while now and love it. tastes good with OJ too...

The difference is worlds apart. Android 2.2 Apps2FAT moves part of the app into the FAT partition on your SD card, but leaves a chunk of the app in the /data/ partition. Apps2EXT moves the entire app on the EXT partition of your SD card (you must partition your card to get an EXT partition, they don't come this way), and also runs the app from the EXT partition even if you mount the FAT partition on your PC. Froyo Apps2FAT can not run apps installed to SD while the SD card in mounted to PC.

Edit: Also, you don't need an extra app to do what Froyo already does, just open Terminal Emulator and type (case sensitive):

su
pm setInstallLocation 2

And you'll be able to move apps from internal to SD all you want (as long as the app is not write protected that is).

Im still getting the occasional random reboot. I cant figure out whats causing it. On 11.19 my battery was at 5 % then all hell broke loose. I could do anything without it rebooting until it died. (I couldnt charge it at the time) when I got home and charged it. It was fine. On average with 11.19 I averaged about 6 random reboots.

Now on 11.26 Im going on about 1 random reboot a day. Ive tried all different kernals and all types of speeds and it still does it. I can live with it though. Im in love with this rom

Are slayher kernels working for you? Are you sure about this? Have you tried turning on Wi-Fi?

Everyone else is getting boot loops (from a hard reset, not a soft reset) from even trying to turn on Wi-Fi after installing a slayher kernel on this MIUI build.

The thing I hate about compcache is how slow the entire phone gets after about 24 to 36 hours of use. Slow as molasses and the only thing that will fix it is a reboot.

Yeah every kernal i have tried results in boot loops once wifi is turned on .. slayher .. jdlfg .. chevy .. all of them .. couldnt get wifi to work on the stock one either .. that one didnt boot loop though

Anyone else have this problem? Not all of my music is being displayed in any music app (stock, poweramp, etc.), and the same time with my photos. Only about 4 of my 10 folders of photos show. I've deleted the gallery cache, and it did nothing.

This is on top of the random freezes and reboots... I have no idea why this is happening, but any help is appreciated. My market won't load either, just freezes my phone up until I have to battery pull -_-
This version seems alot bugger than the 1 before Thanksgiving...
Stock (provided) kernel and all. Havent done anything to it, just installed the zip..

well i am not to shure about 11.29.0 but i tried it and it worked with wifi on 11.19.3 but i had to wipe to get wifi

I know, it's funky. I know D1-MIUI team won't give support for issues resulting in flashing a different kernel than what the ROM is supplied with, but this build is just weird.

I've never seen a ROM break so easily for most (if not everyone) who has tried flashing a different kernel they were successfully using on just the previous build.

And about not giving support for flashing another kernel, I can understand that. What I can't understand is why one build will have a chevyno1 kernel and then another build will have a p3 kernel. There's no consistency in the kernel supplied with MIUI. And I know they'll use a kernel that will work with the ROM before releasing it to us; but let's be honest here, not everyone's phone here runs good with p3 kernels, or chevyno1 kernels, or even slayher kernels ().

I just wish we had a bit better consistency regarding kernels, but ultimately I just probably feels stronger about kernel consistency this week since this build is the first MIUI that will not play ball with a slayher kernel.

for all of you trying to use different kernels..STOP. do whatever the hell it is you need to do to revert back to the stock kernel. re-install the ROM if you have to. i just connected to ALL THREE WiFi signals around my house, 2 of which are protected, and guess what...full connection on all of them (or at least as full as they possibly could have been). the one in my house was completely full and didnt slow down a bit. i feel like youre ruining the ROM by trying to use different kernels. yeah understandable that older versions of MIUI were a lot better with different ones but they were only like 800Mhz. this ones 1.1Ghz. why in gods name do you need anything more than that? lol for real, use the stock one right from the get-go without touching it. i havent touched the kernel once since installing it and wifi works great
