Anyone know if the issue with incoming txt time is being looked at? Its only wrong when looking at all threads or in the pop up

Compcache stopped my redraws, use P3's kernel and install the ramzswap module P3Droid Kernels. Start compcache with this script in terminal emulator... verbatim.

su-->
/system/bin/compcache start

then to check it

/system/bin/compcache stats

The thing I hate about compcache is how slow the entire phone gets after about 24 to 36 hours of use. Slow as molasses and the only thing that will fix it is a reboot.

Mine does this anyways. I have to reboot at least once a day because it gets too slow. I'll hit home and it will take up to 30+ sec. To load my home screen. But after a reboot its runs fine again for another 12-14 hours is so. I'm on the stock kernel as well.

for all of you trying to use different kernels..STOP. do whatever the hell it is you need to do to revert back to the stock kernel. re-install the ROM if you have to. i just connected to ALL THREE WiFi signals around my house, 2 of which are protected, and guess what...full connection on all of them (or at least as full as they possibly could have been). the one in my house was completely full and didnt slow down a bit. i feel like youre ruining the ROM by trying to use different kernels. yeah understandable that older versions of MIUI were a lot better with different ones but they were only like 800Mhz. this ones 1.1Ghz. why in gods name do you need anything more than that? lol for real, use the stock one right from the get-go without touching it. i havent touched the kernel once since installing it and wifi works great

First of all, P3 kernels run hot on my phone; hotter than any other kernels I have tried. And second, I actually use Slayher 800Mhz LV kernel, because I don't see the need to run 1.1Ghz, it's overkill.

So the stock P3 kernel is working out for you and you're loving it, cool. But don't tell me to stop choosing a different kernel just because the stock is working magic for you, because guess what; the only magic it working on my phone is more like black magic.

That's a bug directly carried over from the Chinese version, so we'll have to wait till they fix it on their end, which I suppose will be soon. I can't imagine the Chinese users are happy about it either.

okay, so why not clock it down to 800Mhz? you dont HAVE to run it at 1.1Ghz, im not. i said before im running it at 900Mhz and its running fast as hell. yall think you need to run the kernel at its top speed? thats ridiculous

Because the slots above 800 are then wasted. It's like running an 800Mhz 4 slot kernel, total waste.

Its not a total waste. The refurb D1 I have doesn't much like running above 900mhz, so I stay at 800 and sometimes will bump to 900. Preference, not a waste.

so youd rather give up the functionality of your ROM just so you can say that youre using all the slots in your kernel... youre trying EVERYTHING you can to use a different kernel that MAY work just so you can use the kernel for all its worth, and then complaining when sh*it doesnt work?

the stock kernel is there for a reason, because it works. you all are complaining about problems that are arising because of switching them around. so its actually not the rom itself, its you guys screwing with the kernel and rearranging everything to YOUR own standards.

i understand youre allowed to do that (im not saying i care that you do), but youre creating problem that arent there in the first place...and then trying to find "fixes" for the problems you yourself have created, not the devs of the rom

It is a waste. The slots above 800Mhz will never get used (in my situation, since I don't ever really run my CPU above 800 for anything). Think of it this way, if your phone were to need to ramp up from 250 to say 400 to do an operation, but the next nearest slot is 600. The CPU is ramp'ing up higher than it needs to because of a lack of slots in the lower spectrum, slots that are wasted in the higher spectrum (that in my case will never get used).

Pointing out the obvious isn't complaining, and I never asked for them to fix it.

So let's just stop this right here and agree to disagree. The wonderful thing about a Root'ed Droid is the freedom to rearrange everything to your own standards. So why are you the one complaining about me pointing out the obvious?

Anyone having issues sending texts? I'm not sure if its my service or not. I've wiped and installed 0.11.26 a few times, texting works fine for a little while but eventually it wont let me send texts. Pretty weird.
