[Release]D1-MIUI-0.11.26.0

Haven't done any extended text'ing, but everything seems to work OK for me on that front, so far.

i just have an issue with you and other people using kernels that are OBVIOUSLY not supported, or stock, then saying things dont work. it seems that everyone here whos having these problems thought (at one point or another) it was a great idea to switch kernels. thats ME pointing out the obvious. and it was me trying to suggest maybe clocking down cpu speed on the stock kernel might give you a better go of things with your phone. you guys are using kernels that were deemed "not working with this ROM" and then expecting it to work or posting bugs or annoyances.

and if you go back and read i didnt once say your name, i said "you all" so im talking to everyone who seems to think its a grand idea to change everything around and have things break, not work, etc. maybe you should chill out a little bit.

I agree I think any post concerning a different kernel should be in a differ thread. If proletariat just skim thru the thread they might take it the wrong way and pass on this rom and to on to another. Just my input.

Zero, i dont have a problem with you in particular at all. but its hard to come up with a fix, or a solution to something if someone is on a completely different page as someone who is using stock everything

and i dont see downclocking the stock kernel as a waste, i see it as a possible solution to an ongoing problem without making a potentially harmful change to the ROM/kernel. wasnt trying to argue

The problems people are having and have been posting in this thread are not just about kernels. We've been posting about every problem we've been having. LED notifications not working, lack of LED notification options under phone settings, incorrect time stamps in SMS app and it's pop up window, the inability to change notification sounds and ringtones amount other things.

The kernel issue is also just that, an issue. Yes the Dev's do not want a thread riddled with miscelaneous posts about something that broke with an unsupported kernel, but it's a safe bet they might want to know if every single kernel under the sun breaks the ROM. This just proves there is something fundamentally wrong somewhere in the ROM. They don't expect everyone to just flash the ROM and not have a kernel preference of their own, and if this were even remotely close to the case, they would have some consistency in which kernel they include in the first place.

I understand not to come post issues when flashing a kernel they did not include. And I wouldn't have mentioned anything if it were the usual suspects, turning on Wi-Fi causes "Wi-Fi error", Google Goggles complaining about lack of IPv6, random reboots (soft and hard). But this is a whole other animal here, flashing a kernel and getting a hard reboot and then endless boot loops from turning on Wi-Fi is a major issue, it isn't your run of the mill "Opps, I broke Wi-Fi" type of deal, it's a full on hosed system and the only way to get out of it is a factory reset or a re-flash.

Plus, M1 has already stated he is looking into the kernel issue, this to me also says he understands it to be more serious than just an average issue from flashing a different kernel. If even he posted noting our concerns about this, why can you?

whatever man, must be stressful to take everything so personally. no matter what i say youre gonna contradict it so im really done talking to you.

idk if this was asked already, but is there a reason i dont have ANY predictive text anymore?

EDIT: and just to be clear, i was under the influence we were off the topic of all of that ( at least thats what you said ) i made my point: "and i dont see downclocking the stock kernel as a waste, i see it as a possible solution to an ongoing problem without making a potentially harmful change to the ROM/kernel. wasnt trying to argue"

I don't have a problem with you either, don't take anything I ever post in a thread to heart. It's the internet and people usually read and interpret differently from what the writer intended.

No arguments, this is a discussion board though, and that's what we do, we discuss.

I just think that type of mentality tends to stifle development in the modding community. I mean, we mod because we can, because we like it. We all have different tastes and not everyone's phone will agree with the same ROMs and/or kernels. And mine just so happens to disagree with P3 kernels, very much so. >.<

Alright guys.....time to just drop it. Agree to disagree or ignore each other or whatever but you two need to just stop the back and forth bickering. Carry on with issues and observations.

I know there's a fine line between complaining and sharing our experiences with running these roms. Our leaders are sharing with us and depend on us to run them and let them know what needs attention.
It's been an unusual amount of effort to get this one running well for me, but I sure can see the possibilities that no other rom is giving us.

Mine are working just fine. sorry to hear you have an issue, maybe you're supported kernel?

I kid, I kid.

seeing as theres quite a few bugs with the mms app, id assume its within the app (could be wrong). just wondering if anyone else has the same problem

It's to be expected I guess. This is their first port of the Milestone build, and the Milestone builds are still in their infancy. So we just need to weather these annoyances till they become more stable and feature rich (features geared toward the Milestone/Droid)

Did you flash the MIUI keyboard? Or are you using the stock one?
