[Release]D1-MIUI-0.11.26.0

I thought I made an account long ago to thank you guys for an awesome job on translating this rom and making it usable for people like me.... but it appears that was all a figment of my imagination..... so....

Thank you so much for all the hard work you all have put into making this my favorite rom by a long shot :D All the time i was spent waiting on pins and needles for the milestone port to droid was well worth it and it's just getting better and better XD

This might be a little advanced for some, but I just flashed this version and I didn't feel like having to download an app from the market just to change ringtones/notification sounds. So instead before I flashed the ROM I opened the zip without extracting it, pulled out the build.prop and edited the default ringtone/notification sound to the filenames of my choice and stuck it back in the .zip. It worked like a charm.

EDIT: This can be done after flashing as well.

So everything was running super smooth and I was really enjoying it until i decided I would make a backup using Clockwork. The backup was mad but when I booted back up I got a ton of process.acore force closes. Reinstalling fresh as we speak. Sucks.

Had everything setup perfect too.

The easiest way to do it after flashing would be to use Root Explorer, go into /system, long press on build.prop and tap "open in text editor" and make the desired edits. Then reboot.

Anyone else experience this? I just finished setting everything up and I want to make a nandroid backup, but I don't want to have to start over from scratch if this is what will happen. I've never heard of this happening before on any ROM, weird issue.

Glad to help... I guess I could be a little more specific in where to make the edits. They're both near the bottom and they are:

ro.config.notification_sound=xxxxx.ogg
and
ro.config.ringtone=xxxxx.ogg

The file you choose doesn't have to be a .ogg file, I am using .m4a and .mp3 files.

What about an mp3 that is located on the sd card? will this still work?

Good question. Yes, both of mine are on the SD card.

They have to be in the correct folders though:
/sdcard/media/audio/notifications
/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones

You can just type the filename in the build prop, you don't have to add the folders, your phone looks for ringtones on the SD card in these locations in addition to the ones in /system/media/audio/

I just backed up using rom manager w/o issue. No fc's.
