Did you use autodetect in the options for set CPU ? It should definately let you take it over 550

Yes, I selected autodetect, allowed permissions...everything I thought I was supposed to do, but I drag that bar back and forth and the highest number at the top left hand corner it will give me is 550Mhz. Sometimes it will say 600Mhz for a second and then it just changes back to 550Mhz a few seconds later. I just don't know enough about overclocking yet to really understand any of that. I followed a youtube video tutorial that motodroidlife had and followed all of his instructions and it just wouldn't work for me the way it was working for him. (shrug)

search these forums there should be alot of stuff on here about that... but if you installed a custom kernel which one did you install? If you go into rom manager, and hit menu, settings, click advanced mode on... then go to download roms, cyanogen mod (top one), there are a bunch of kernels in there you can also install

Is there a way that I can do a backup of this Pink-Life rom before I download any apps, that way if I download an app that messes everything up, I can just do a backup and get right back to where I am now? Can I use ROM Manager to do a backup? Or is that just when you're going to install a new rom? If I make a new backup, will it override the last backup I just did in ROM Manager before installing this rom or will it make a second backup?

When I was downloading this Pink-Life rom in Rom Manager, it gave me the option to select a kernel and I chose 7 slot 1.0Ghz LV.

It makes a new backup everytime... Go into rom manager, scroll down to back up current rom, and it will do all the work for you! you can rename it anything you like...

AND if you downloaded the 1.0 GHz kernel, when setcpu autodetects, it should automatically set it to 1000 MHz, if you have yours set to ondomand, it will only rev up that high when you need it too, otherwise it will display lower numbers such as 550/600

I put this rom on my girl's droid and she loves it. I am using the droid=life pink and black and loving it. Many thanks for the great work.dancedroid

Every time you do a back up in rom manager it makes a different back up using the time. you can rename it. I currently have several backups of the roms I like.

Awesome! Thank you so much!!

Just successfully created my backup! You guys are the best! I have learned more from all of you in a couple of days than I did in over a week of researching this phone! Thanks again for all your help! :)

Pink-Life Theme for BB (via MM?)

So I gave the Cyanogen MOD a go, for a few months... while it was better than stock, it was sluggish (which may have been launchers, etc..) and crashy (obviously could have been Kernels) on my Droid. Ever since I gave this Bugless Beast 1.0 a whirl, it's like it's turned my phone into the phone I've been waiting for. It's fast, stable (fairly) and the theme (Nextheme I think?) is pretty good.

That said, I have a wife, who's getting a laptop and looking for wireless tethering on HER Droid. So I mentioned that I saw JRummy out with a Pink theme, and she freaked out. She's got the caveat tho that she first and foremost is looking for stability. So, I guess what I want to know is, is it possible to use Metamorph to skin a BB 1.0 install w/ this pink theme? I mean, I know upon install of the BB rom it gives you the choice of like 3 themes... but I'm pretty sure that's not MM, but actually the ROM installer forking to whichever theme you select and downloading the .zip containing the theme'd .apks. Idk.

Certainly not looking to bash Cyanogen, obviously a pioneer in the scene (along with JRummy), but looking to make this happen for her when I root her phone this weekend. Any ideas for me?

Another question for you guys :) Since loading this rom, when I push the power button now I have 2 options, power off phone and reboot phone - what is the difference? Is the reboot option the same as a battery pull was on the Blackberry?

I never had a blackberry, so I can't answer that part. But a reboot restarts the droid, so it turns off but then comes back on, if you power off it just stays off
