[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.0 Gingerbread - 1-11-2013

You mean deleting the the file through cwmr? I used battery calibration app and even when its 'fully charged', it still says 96 (where i max aat. I've restored my old themed stock odexed nandroid and will restore my steel nandroid when someone can figure out a fix to this
Edit: it says 96% on the app

Yea, im pretty sure cwm and battery calibration do the same thing in that sense. Like I said, it was only a guess. Funny thing though, as im typing this on the charger, it says fully charged and the charge animation goes away, but the % went from 95 to 97... even after saying its fully charged...now 98. Have you tried leaving it charging after it says fully charged? Note that im using the ac adapter.

Nope. Moved, changed permissions and rebooted. Tried to install too.

Strange. Im going to break it again and double check that I didn't leave any steps out. Gimme a few minutes ill let u know.

Ok, I deleted the apk, wiped cache and rebooted. Confirmed broken again. Copied apk and changed permissions using root explorer and rebooted again and email worked again. I was hoping I forgot something.. only thing I can think of is wiping cache and/or dalvik cache. Other than that im fresh out of ideas. Good luck!

Man sounds like everyone is having issues doing this new rom. I think ill just stay with my rooted, frozen bloatware d3. Ever since the update the phone just seems a hell lot better, and the battery kicks butt. Today I was on 19 hrs and ihad a lot of use. Any reason why I should do this tomy phone.

OMFG i Have never seen something so awesome as booting with 234MB free ram then using the system, and still having around 200 free when i need it im on v.2.0 and Chevy you will most diffidently get a donation when i get payed this week. feels likes overclocked too. so fast, thank you so much. Can you explain what each thing is in the addons though ( the non-obvious things like updater and such.) so happy cant type straight lol.

I've been running SDv2.0 since Chevy gave it to me to test, only issue I've had is the Font Installer FC'ing (Which is working now, I believe it was a Permission Error).

I highly suggest giving SD a try. Worst comes to worst you restore your stock nandroid. :) If your like me, you'll flash SD and never look back. dancedroid

Does the Email icon show up in the apps menu?

This also assumes you've installed the messaging and universal inbox addons.

You don't have to have messaging or the universal inbox. I have neither (as they are bloat) and email works perfectly. Now synced with my corporate account ;)
