[ROM] [RELEASE] Steel Droid: 5.0 Gingerbread - 1-11-2013

I mean browsing for an hour via wifi takes me from 100% to 60%, where with stock it would take me to 80%. That's a big show-stopper for me. Drain is normal if the phone is just sitting around, even if it's not sleeping, but as soon as I use it, it just burns through the battery.

I to have noticed better battery life with just de-bloated stock.

I just have to say that I just applied the BlurEmail patch that everyones has been talking about. I wasn't having email issues but I could not access my data fetch settings, it would just FC and as I don't need gmail pushing data to my phone (to conserve battery), I wanted to lower the frequency and PRESTO that fixed it.

Very happy with this ROM thanks again!

jrummys toolbox works to change fonts, i liked the font but couldnt read twitter clearly. Excellent rom though a black pulldown would be nice to match the notification bardancedroid:yr1:

Is there a particular "root app" that is better then another? I used the suggested Droid 3 recovery to flash/install 2.0, and used root explorer to deal with the BlurEmail.akp file. Is JRummy's better? Or more like an all in one?

Jrummys apps are good for changing font. Root explorer is good for a file browser w/root access.

I'm glad to see the option of installing some of the apps that were previously removed, such as Messaging. Steel Droid 2.0 is awesome!
